Services
Dr. Brodney attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry, where he became a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. He is a 25 year member of the American Optometric Association, as well as a certified Fellow of Optometrists in the College of Vision Development.
Here at Century City Optometric Center, we believe that perfect vision is more than just seeing clearly, rather we believe that the entire visual system needs to work well. This includes the ability to move your eyes efficiently, to use vision to guide your body, hands, and feet, and to be able to processing all the thousands of images you are seeing each day.
Orthokeratology is a contact lens system that corrects your vision while you sleep, giving you clear vision the moment you wake up! These specialty lenses gently reshape the eye so that after removing them, you can still see clearly throughout the day without the need for correction. Orthokeratology is a safe and reversible process and works quickly within the first few nights of wearing the lenses.

Two stars because I really like Dr. Brodney but I am displeased with the assistance for my reading glasses. I have had glasses on and off for 20 years at least. I thought getting reading glasses would be easy and a no brainer. Unfortunately not so fast. The first frame I had got loose right away. I went back and had to get a new frame however the issue with my foggy lenses was not resolved. I am told I need an anti reflective coat? I've never needed that and it is unclear how that would stop the fogging. The lenses get super dirty and hard to see out of them. I called back and am told the

This is my first Google review; I write it because this optometry is definitely the worst I've ever been and in the hope that they could improve their quality so that no other customer would experience the things that I experienced there:
1) The frame of my previous glass got broken, so I decided to get a new one. I got my eye checked, and ordered a completely new pair, but when I got the glass, I wasn't able to see my desktop clearly with my right eye. So I had to make an appointment to re-do the exam, and turned out that doctor got the prescription wrong in the first exam. It was astonishing

Dr. Brodney knows his stuff. He set aside time for all my questions, and made sure I understood how things from hard contacts to lasik worked. I came in for a normal eye exam to update my prescription, and he noticed a malady in my left eye. He took the time to assess the problem and provided a simple path toward recovery. He was definitely easy to work with and talk to, making this one of the easiest eye exams in recent memory.

The employees at CCOC thoroughly explained my insurance benefits, and I ended up with some new prescription glasses with little to no upsell. Their selection of glasses

This place is one money making nest. The moment you walk in, you are nothing else but the dollar sign. Doctor is impersonal, unpleasant and rude. Take your money and honor a small business, rather then paying for their Century City location. Dr. Brodney is calculated and rude. He doesn't hesitate to show you that you are just a number. The whole attitude of this place is "take it or leave it, we are doing just fine with or without you". The visit left a really bad taste.

Dr. Brodney is a new level of rude that I haven't encountered in Los Angeles until now. After recently moving here, I decided to call up the nearest optometrist to my office and update my prescription for the New Year. My automatic contact lens reorder from Walgreens sent a prescription notice to Dr. Brodney (after my appointment was scheduled) for him to review and approve on his own time. My order was rejected and reversed and the secretary at the front desk called me the following day to tell me to "take a hike" and find another doctor. Sinking to a new low in terms of rash decisions

Dr Brodney is a great optometrist! I came to him with a challenging situation involving the transition from orthodox-K lenses to laser surgery and he did a great job figuring it out. On site parking is easy. Highly recommend.

They went way above & beyond for me today. I got my first progressive's prescription from them in January and got the glasses somewhere else in February. Here it is June, and I still hate the progressives. Even though I got the glasses somewhere else back in February, they spent 45 minutes with me. Dr. Roth basically redid my whole eye exam to see if perhaps my eyes changed, and Jessica checked my glasses and their fit to see if the glasses were the problem. They couldn't have been nicer, more calming, or more helpful. They ran through all sorts of options to help make me more

Dr. Brodney discovered the cause behind my inability to concentrate and difficulty I had sitting in front of a computer. Although I have good vision under every day circumstances (no glasses) I require glasses to sit at the computer without eye strain and headaches.
Since being fitted I have no headaches, and I don't need to take as many breaks to recover and get back to my work. In short, I re-captured focus and ability to do what needs to be done without unknowingly squinting to adjust my vision causing eye fatigue and headache.
The difference is undeniable.

The doctors are good. Eye exams are very thorough.
Support staff are less helpful. I requested a receipt to be mailed to me, but never received. So I requested it to be faxed to me, still not received. So I had to personally go over again and pick it up.
Also, their lenses / frames are very over-priced if your insurance doesn't cover.

Love this eye doctor, I've been a patient for several years. They're right down the street from my work and they're very efficient. They got me in and out with my exam and a new prescription in about 30 minutes, but it wasn't rushed. Dr. Brodney is very friendly and easy to talk to.

Metered parking or you can pay a premium for the garage.

As a person that normally HATES eye doctor appointments (I honestly can never tell the difference between one or two), I can say that this optometrist was one of the friendliest I have ever been to.

They were able to accommodate me quickly as I had an eye infection and needed to get an appointment as soon as possible. They were able to get me within an hour and a half of opening which was very beneficial as my eye was KILLING ME.

As soon as I arrived, the new patient paperwork was able to be quickly completed, and as soon as I turned it in, I was called to the doctor's office for my examination

At the ripe age of 26, I realized that I'm getting old. Things that used to be clear, were now blurry if I'm too far away. My brown eyes are slowly giving in to my old age... I decided to finally figure out what was going on by going to see Dr. Lam. My friend recommended me to her, so now I'm recommending Dr. Lam to all my internet friends.

Dr. Lam, simply put, is amazing. She took the time and did several different tests on me to get a thorough understanding of my vision and eyeballs. She listened to all my concerns and past experiences to help me understand my own eyes.

Dr. Brodney has been my optometrist for over twenty years despite my having free HMO vision coverage. I'd rather spend my own money to protect my precious vision with Dr. Brodney, with his intellegence, honesty and friendly service rather than visit an anonomous HMO optometrist who is only interested in getting through the day.

Dr. Brodney is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable Optometrists I've ever been to. He caught my Convergence Insufficiency and I went through vision therapy to correct it. After that, reading was much easier and more fun!
