Sound Space Yoga
If you're curious what our schedule will look like when we re-open, find it here. Halani Yoga is a studio in Old Kapaa Town on the Island of Kauai, HI. It was established with the intention of offering the community the opportunity to practice and experience a wide variety of yoga styles and to be exposed to the common threads that run through all yogic teachings.

As the name "Halani" implies, a primary tenet of the studio is that our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being are affected by and dependent on our breath. Along those lines, classes are, above all, breath oriented. Postures (asanas) are taught as a means to create more space for our breath so we can access greater states of awareness and deeper states of ease and connection.
Services
Training/Education: 10 years of weekly study (countless hours) with Dr. Vijayendra Pratap, 200hr E-RYT, 100hr Kundalini Training, 100hr Anusara Immersion, BA from Brown University. Primary Practices: Kundalini. Asana. Yoga Nidra. Seated Meditation. Chanting/Toning. Savasana. Time in Nature. Teaching Style: Depends a lot on the class.
When you sign up for a series you're making a 4-week commitment to that specific class. Though you are more than welcome to miss a class or two, all series will be paid for in advance and no money will be refunded for missed classes. Each series is $80 ($20 per class), CASH ONLY. Flow - Breath-focused and athletic, our Flow (i.e Vinyasa) classes blend and borrow from Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara traditions.
Our 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training is for anyone desiring to deepen their yoga practice, develop a greater degree of self-awareness, self-empowerment & self-trust, and learn the skills necessary to share these practices in a way that supports others as they do the same.

Together we'll dive into the most accessible and effective elements of yoga and meditation, explore the rich philosophies that have kept these practice relevant for thousands of years, and share adventures in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, opening ourselves up to the ever-present and profound teachings of Mother Nature.
Halani Yoga is located at 4504 Kukui St. in Old Kapaa Town on the Mezzanine Level of the historic Dragon Building. There is parking in front and in back of the building. If you park in front: Instead of taking the main "dragon" staircase, go through the walkway behind that staircase to the back of the building.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
I am a novice with practicing yoga. Jessica was very good with cueing for correct positioning and knowing the ability of each student, as there was a variety of levels ability in the class. I really enjoyed my session and will be returning again. I highly recommend Halani Yoga!!

I'm always the oldest person in the room, but the young people in the room are welcoming and the yoga consists of long holds, thoughtful sequencing...and instructors offering direction (pull right hip in, rib cage in). It's in the Dragon Building, enter through the back and follow the signs. There isn't an ideology around this yoga studio, which I appreciate. Molly's voice is beautiful, lots of young men doing yoga. In this small room, where Karate sometimes is happening above you, and you hear car doors opening and closing. - sometimes horns, you are reminded how to have calm amid the chaos. I

Halani Yoga is such a special place! This place and Jess (the Founder) have taught me that yoga is/can be/was originally so much more than a workout. It’s a practice that’s spiritual, uplifting and grounding, and is meant to go beyond just stretching and poses. This space is warm and inviting, and it’s so wonderful to have it right in heart of Kapaa. I would highly recommend it!

Halani yoga is amazing!! You must try it! We were on vacation for 2 weeks and visited the studio every single day. Jess and each teacher is extremely joyful, powerful, wonderful, warm and professional. Explanations and instructions are very clear. I felt light, happy, joyful and recharged after each yoga session. The secret here is breathing. Jess reminded about breath every moment. Jess, Arien, Kim, Gabrielle, Katie, Rachel - thank you very much for your wonderful lessons!!

Connecting with a yoga instructor/studio for me is personal, not like finding an aerobics teacher or tennis coach. Maybe it's the breath.
A few weeks ago I started a one month pass at Halani Yoga and Movement and have been very pleased. The studio is small and personal and the teachers are very knowledgeable and eager to help. I don't know the owner Jessica very well but did read some of her bio and she is super experienced and I feel her dedication to her practice and to ours. There is an interesting variety of classes at Halani like Restorative, different styles of Flow and Kundalini, each with

Halani Yoga is amazing! I am practicing with Jess the owner and ultimate yogi 🧘‍♀️. Her presence is calming and her voice soothing. She really knows what she’s doing in there. She has restored balance in my physical form as well as personal life. Not to mention the strength I have developed from making her class a ritual. Halani is medicine for the body, mind and soul. I will be attending for life!

Stepping into Halani feels like stepping into home.
It is small enough to be intimate, but large enough to hold the space for a diverse crowd.
What I love most are the variety of yoga classes offered and the true quality that each teacher possesses.
For the beginner or regular yogi, Halani has a spot for everyone!

Beautiful, breezy space inside the studio. The class I took with Jessica was really wonderful. I very much appreciate the attention to breathing throughout the practice and to alignment in the poses. I will be returning to Halani Yoga when I am back on the island!!

Can’t get enough of this studio! The variety of classes is so amazing, they have everything from kundalini, slow flow, heated vinyasa plus more! The variety of teachers is great too as each have such a unique and powerful class. I absolutely love the way Jesse carries you through her classes, she is really an expert in her craft and helps explain details through out different poses to ensure each individual gets the most out of each posture making it almost feel like a private session! I always leave feeling so centered and renewed.

Halani Yoga is my yoga home when I’m on Kauai. Jess has created a warm and welcoming environment, a place to rest and grow. Her ability to train and guide her students is unique and special. Make time to visit this place, you won’t regret it!
