We are grateful to be a part of this community, and will continue to do all we can to look out for one another. It is mandatory our staff and clients are healthy and wearing masks when they come to the studio. Masks are required for staff and customers in entry/exit areas, but optional during class.
Staff is cleaning the floor and common areas after each class, cleaners are provided for mats, and a deep clean of the whole studio is happening weekly. A class might be cancelled if there is an emergency, so it is crucial to reserve your spot and check the schedule for any possible cancellations before dropping by.

This is a dynamic, fluid and creative form of hatha yoga which utilizes the breath to flow from one pose to the next in a prescribed sequence. Throughout class we move the body from the breath in an attentive way, creating unification of body, mind and spirit. Vinyasa classes contain sun salutations, seated poses, standing poses, twists, back-bends and inversions.

I very much enjoyed the Monday Yin Yoga w/Clara. As a senior but experienced practitioner I was able to go to my edge, which was perfect for my somewhat out of routine as a traveler. Clara has a lovely voice and provides a colorful meditation for breath. I highly recommend if you are a newbie/novice or yogi.

If you're looking for Yoga around Poipu Beach, look no further. I had a great class with Lisa, and I'll definitely be returning to this studio. I was staying on vacation in Poipu Beach, and I'm so glad that I discovered this studio just a short drive away! It's a local place, but I found they were very welcoming to me as a tourist. The environment was clean, nice and relaxing with island vibes. Easy parking on the street out front.

I have been going to the yin yoga practice sessions for two years. Mary and Lisa lead them now with attention to individual needs and abilities. The studio is very well designed and spacious. The sessions are relaxing as well as beneficial with the long stretches. It is easy to drive to from Poipu and near my favorite restaurant - Kalaheo Cafe. If you are looking for any type of yoga class check the schedule at Kalaheo Yoga!

If a teacher can not see what is going on in the room and respond to the movement of the students, run the other way. If a teacher will not interrupt her own practice long enough to actually teach the students who are paying to learn, I believe they need to look at why they are even teaching yoga. Classes like this are what gives yoga a bad name. I took class called gentle vinyasa with Mary, and as someone who rehabilitates yoga injuries for my day job, it was one of the sharpest examples I have ever seen of how to injure your students - partly by ignoring them and partly by making poor movement

I really enjoyed the class I took with Sandra (Yin). She has a very close local following and as a "tourist" I felt a little like an outsider. Which is ok, it's Yoga - you are there to 'go in' not make friends, I'm just used to the Midwest hugging when you meet someone from out of town. :)
The studio is clean and has plenty of props to borrow. The class was packed and the room is smaller than the photos make it look, but it was very cozy.

Solid little stop for yoga if you're near Poipu. The space, ambiance, and staff are all nice. I can't say I was a huge fan of the restorative class we went to. There are some clearly diehard regulars that go and really love it (all super nice and welcoming), but having been to a few restorative classes back home, the class at Kalaheo had way too many props, complicated setups, and shifting/walking around the class. It kind of killed some of the relaxation for me. I will say we had a very nice little afternoon rain shower during class, which did help with the zen of it all.

Kalaheo Yoga is an excellent studio. If you are on the south side of Kauai staying in the Poipu Beach area, it's only a 10min drive from there!
The Yoga-Barre with Laura and Courtney are amazing, I had to opportunity to take both their classes! Sara's restorative yoga is the best thing after a long day or to prepare yourself for the week ahead.
I would recommend Kalaheo Yoga to anyone- you are lucky if you live on island and can attend weekly!!

This place is awesome! My husband and I just returned from a week long vacation to Kauai and I did yoga at Kalaheo Yoga every other day that I was there. All of the classes that I took were fantastic and I was fortunate enough to take classes from both Sandra and Amy. Both were great instructors. I am in the second trimester of my pregnancy, and both instructors were able to provide modifications for me throughout class so that I was still able to get a great workout. Additionally, my husband has back problems, and a recent foot injury and they were able to modify the workout for him as well. The

I was visiting from LA and took the Sunday Vinyasa class with Sandra. She is an excellent teacher, appropriately challenging with easy to follow instructions and a good overall flow. She even found the time to help my friend who was a total newcomer to yoga.
The studio is easy to find just of Hwy 50, very clean and airy and even though the class was almost full it did not feel crowded. There are mats for rent for $1.
I will definitely be back to take more classes here on future visits !

Took the gentle vinyasa class and after 30 minutes of gentle stretching I realized the class was not for me. I am used to a quick vinyasa where I am able to stretch yet get a nice sweaty workout at the same time. Definitely recommend for beginners or ppl interested in just relaxing, but not for those wanting something with a faster pace. Great studio. Just not the right class for me:)

I love yoga and wanted to find a welcoming studio to frequent while on the island. My first visit to Kalaheo Yoga was wonderful. Cheryl taught a restorative class that left me and the other two yogis in my party feeling wonderfully relaxed and happy to be here. She was also quite kind and obviously a warmhearted and accepting yogi. Today I went back for a Vinyasa Flow Level 2 class with Sandra. The class itself was just the right amount of challenging, however Sandra went out of her way to make me feel less than welcome. I made the mistake of telling her before class that I regularly practice Bikram

I started a dedication to Vinyasa Yoga this past summer and wanted to keep up my practice while vacationing in nearby Poipu. I checked out the website and then stopped by when I arrived in Kauai. Very nice studio! I bought the 3-class package and attended the Mon/Wed/Fri 8-9:30am Vinyasa Flow classes (Paul on Monday, Sandra for Wed/Fri). The instructors were very friendly & helpful and the locals that attended the classes helped me feel at home in Kalaheo. Without a doubt, one of the highlights of my trip to the islands of Kauai! I will be back for more on my next trip! ~Namaste~

Love this yoga studio! My husband and I have been a fan of Paul's teaching for several years. He is such a unique teacher....seriously, there is no one like him. He challenges us in new ways, and we always leave feeling refreshed. We also got to take a class from Sandra, who is a great teacher, too. This studio is very clean, professional, simple and welcoming to visitors. We drive 20 minutes to get here from our condo, but it's worth it. Can't wait to take our class tomorrow!

Took group of three people to Sunday morning 9AM Vinyasa flow yoga with Sandra and had a fun yoga class. Kalaheo Yoga has a good set of props. I liked how she strategically opened the windows to ensure a good breeze and moved around the room as she was teaching our class. I recommend this yoga studio:-) (and I teach yoga back home in Illinois so this was my vacation yoga class choice). The three of us felt that Sandra's class helped us to unwind from stiffness from long travels to Kauai.
