Her most recent job was with Peninsula Ophthalmology Group in Daly City and Burlingame, California, after moving back to the San Francisco Bay Area in the summer of 2016.Previously, she practiced at McDougal Eye Center in Mesa, Arizona, and Optical Expressions in Scottsdale.

Had a wonderful experience at Eyes in Disguise! Dr. Blas and the front desk receptionist were both extremely friendly and welcoming. The office is very nice, clean and modern and in a great location on Union Street. The exam was very thorough and I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for an eye exam! They take VSP and made it very easy to process insurance. I will definitely be back for my annual eye exam!

Eyes in Disguise is a fantastic Optometrist facility with great customer service in a beautiful and well-equipped setting.
All of the staff/team is very friendly, honest and knowledge. They also offer a great selection of frames and they always work with the customer and his/her insurance to get the best possible deal.

Great office to get your eyes checked! Dr. Blas is extremely thorough; she helped me diagnose & manage a lingering eye condition that has bugged me for years. Loved that they followed every COVID precaution to ensure a safe eye examination at my visit. They have an excellent frame selection & expert staff that helped me navigate my insurance benefits and guide me through my contact lens fitting.

I called today to get a quote for eye exam. She first proceeds to tell me it’s $255.00. Then I replied it’s the same price roughly as the competitor some quote $248.00 and some quote $250.00 It’s price fixing. I asked if they offer seniors discount ? She then proceeded to answer if you pay cash we will. She then stated normally $295.00 but in cash $245.00 If this is not a con job I don’t know what this is. Don’t go there!

My initial visit was pleasant: courteous staff that took their time to walk me through a few frames. Nice clean space with a big selection. Very respectful of Covid protocols, etc.
However, I was told that it would take 2 weeks to get my glasses back. 2 weeks passed and I reached out because I hadn’t heard back. I was notified they would be ready in a 1-2 days. 1-2 days passed and I didn’t hear word...again, had to reach out myself and was told they would be ready later in the week.
Received an email that my glasses were ready on a Friday. When I went to pick them up AFTER the weekend...

If you want a medical professional talk down to you in a condescending tone without any explanation of what your symptoms means and what may have caused them, come here, because that’s how you’ll be treated. I can see how taking your kids here won’t be a bad idea because they sure wouldn’t mind the intentional avoidance of certain basic medical terms, or the assumption of your ignorance towards whatever “diagnosis” she seems to be performing. The worst part? The diagnosis was wrong, because I went to another doctor and did not use any of the expensive meds she prescribed, and my symptoms

This place is awesome. It’s definitely high-end (like the neighborhood), but you actually get high-end service (unlike a lot of the neighborhood). The doc is warm, efficient, and kind. She methodically takes you through your exam, and you feel safe the whole time (which is tough when someone is staring into your eyes looking for issues).
And the service, wow! On the sales side, you are being helped by a retired neuroscientist! For those who can’t imagine how to effectively choose from their wide selection, just put yourself in their hands.

Dr. Michelle Blas has been my optometrist since 2009 and I love her!! She is an excellent doctor and really goes out of her way to explain things and answer questions. I was so happy when I learned she bought Eyes in Disguise Optometry in the Marina! Her new office is beautiful and her assistant Maryam is so helpful and friendly.
