I had pleasant experience with Dr Thich last year who helped me with annual exam, and lens ordering. Dr Thich was kind and helpful so I decided to go back again this year. However, I was seen by another optometrist without being informed in advance. She was quite impatient and a bit rude the entire process. The front desk also failed to accurately provide reason, cost, time needed and advantage/disadvantage of dilation vs imaging (additional charge). I was left with the impression that the more costly imaging would be efficient and save time by avoiding the need for dilation. That’s not true

Dr. Thich was recommended by Dr. Polsinelli who moved during the pandemic. As mentioned in another review, I thought I made an appt with Dr. Thich, but saw someone else. I have no idea his name, I've searched Google high and low after the appt to try and figure out who else works in the office, to no avail. That being said, I did like the doctor I saw but I remain uncomfortable that it felt like a bait and switch and no other doctors are listed on the website or any place that I could find.
I also ordered a year of contacts (not cheap) and they don't ship to my house. Since the office isn't super

This office was recommended by my doctor who moved out of California. First of all - scheduled an appointment with Dr Thich but was seen by another doctor... nobody told me about changing the doctors... then came in to adjust the glasses I bough at the office and a young lady at the front desk took my glasses and after a few tries - my glasses still wouldn't fit correctly! All she told me that if she keeps adjusting them - the glasses would just break?! I understand but at the same time they used to fit!!! She had no idea what she was doing... very rude as well... and the glasses cause me

I was very grateful to be seen in this office after my previous doctor left town. They took me on short notice as I have dry eyes and this can get infected very quickly. Yet, in the middle of a COVID surge, they insisted that I come in for a visit, as opposed to just prescribing me steroid eye drops as the other doc would have done. I understand this.
What I don't understand is that this office has little COIVD precautions in place. We are about to be locked down again and this office waiting room is about 180 square feet and there are no markers for people to be six feet apart. At one

I’m sure we can all agree that adjusting to the pandemic life has not been very easy. The disruptions to our daily routines and livelihoods have added heavy levels of stress and discomfort that make us have to view our days differently. It is always welcome, however, to interact within our new parameters with people who go out of their ways to make an experience as normal and pleasant as possible. That is what Dr. Lam and Dr. Thich have done. My eye exam was thorough and performed with care. Explanations were easy-to-understand and all of my questions were responded to with attentiveness and

Very disappointing. Poor communication, questionable sanitation, minimal explanations offered. No medical or family history taken. I formerly went to Dr. Polsinelli on Polk St who transferred his practice to Dr. Thich. They are not in the same league. I would encourage other patients of Dr. P look for another eye care facility. Dr. Thich acted like a tentative intern rather than an authoratative DO. Patients would be better off at Walmart Optical than here. Front desk and optician equally unhelpful and can't be bothered to assist in any meaningful way.

The very first thing Dr. Thich said to me was that she was not able to help me. That's never a good start to an appointment.
I tried explaining repeatedly to Dr. Thich that despite my eye condition, my vision can still be corrected with soft contact lenses. All I needed was an update to my prescription.
Despite me saying this, Dr. Thich didn't even bother to try to help me. She didn't do a refraction test, didn't test out different parameters of an updated prescription, or anything else. She did still try to charge me full price for a "contact lens fitting."
I kept explaining that other optometrists

I went here to get a couple of pairs of new glasses in December. When I first arrived I wasn't so sure because the interior looked a bit outdated. But the service was solid. They were easy to communicate with. And the doctor seemed knowledgeable and took some extra time to address some concerns I had. Overall a good experience. I would go here again.

Had a negative experience at this office.
The eye exam was fine, but the lady at the front desk was less than helpful when it came to reimbursement questions.
She acted very inconvenienced about helping me and acted as though patients should already know this process. I won't be coming back here again :(

I was really impressed by my experience here. For years I'd gone to places like Lenscrafters and it was always OK but AccuVision took things up a notch. They had technology to assess your retinal health I'd never experienced before and the doctor was kind and professional. The admin staff were helpful with questions about insurance benefits and best of all their hours are really convenient offering later hours M-F and they are even open on Saturday. I'm really glad that AccuVision was in my vision plan network and that I can support a neighborhood business.

I have been going to this place for several years and I have had a wonderful experience every time. Dr Thich is a fantastic optometrist and recently I saw another female Dr there, I wish I could remember her name, but she was just as fantastic. The receptionist is so friendly and helpful.
I can't recommend this place more highly.
You have to see for yourself how great it is here.

Amy was kind enough to adjust my frames that I had sat on the previous day. Expecting to be charged for her service, she told me “no worries,” and that it wasn’t a problem -- it was my first time at AccuVision Optometry. I donned my glasses, now with perfect fit, and saw clearly how this small gesture of kindness was indicative of how she conducts her business as a professional, and, more importantly, a good human being. Thank you Dr. Thich.

I love these folks. Every single opthalmologic assistant I've worked with has been attentive, polite, and super fast. Also, Dr. Thich is amazing! She is incredibly friendly and polite, and she even showed me how to save a lot of money with my contact order. She genuinely cares about her patients, going above and beyond to help however she can.

This was an amazing costumer experience. Rebecca was incredible, super attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed. Dr. Thich did a very thorough exam on my eyes as well. Recommended progressive lenses and so far my eyes are loving them. I highly recommend AccuVision on Divisadero.

I'm impressed by the professional etiquette when I arrive. Amy Thich and her staff are very personable and helpful in finding the right glasses and right fit. Always affirming their great reputation as an optometry clinic. Upon arriving, I receive a inviting welcome every time and am out of the office within the hour. I like to receive their notifications via email when I'm due for my next visit or just a friendly reminder of how to take care of my eyes during the year. Thankful for having them nearby!

Overpriced - visited in February of 2017 paid $25 copay and an additional $70 for a contact lens fitting which didn't even include trying on contacts and was simply just a renewal of an existing prescription I had gotten elsewhere. I also have two different vision insurances, check your prices before scheduling. I went elsewhere this year (2018) and paid $20 for both an eye exam, contact fitting and prescription.

I love this spot! Once you walk into the business you a greeted kindly by the receptionist.
Amy Thich, O.D. is genuinely interested in how her clients are doing and listens to any concerns you may have about your vision. Although I only visit for my yearly eye exam they have always been pleasant experiences! Although I no longer live in San Francisco I travel from the East Bay to have my eye exams here.I usually go alone and like many, I take my sweet time choosing my lenses and trying on various glasses until I feel like I found the right one. The receptionist are there to help and on many occasions

I've been a patient of AccuVision for a few of years and the service has always mediocre. However, the last pair of classes I bought from there about 2 - 3 years ago were $400 Gucci frames with Transition lenses, anti-glare coating and scratch resistant lenses. The anti-glare coating completely screwed up my lenses, creating a film that no matter what I did, could not get the clean. I will take full responsibility, because I didn't return them right away, but the next time I went in and mentioned it, the receptionist admitted there was a problem with the vendor that made the lenses

AccuVision Optometry is awesome. After I moved out of SF, I still drive from the South Bay for my appointments. They have convenient Saturday hours, but honestly I'd still go to them even if I had to take time off during the week. Dr. Thich and Gabrielle are the best. I've been going here for my eye care for over two years: had regular exams, contacts exams, contacts fittings, and ordered my frames through them. Each time, they're always super helpful and accommodating. The follow-up customer service is great too. If you ever need itemized receipts or a copy of your prescription

I really lucked out here. Being new to San Francisco I just took a shot in the dark and AccuVision turned out to be a great little place. Very friendly and helpful front person and a patient, down to earth optometrist. Their website makes it easy to schedule an appointment and their glasses selection is great. If you like small and unpretentious, you'll love this place.
