We have been taking our animals here for quite a few years. We unfortunately had to lay our rescue fur baby Jake to rest yesterday after 13 years. We decided outdoors would be a more peaceful way for us to say our final goodbyes.
The most aweful thing I have ever experienced happened after his passing. An assistant came out with a black trash bag. I was mortified. My heart sank. Instead of carrying him inside wrapped in the comforter we had, my family had to see a trash bag being brought out.
Disgusting to say the least. I will forever be devastated and we will no longer take our pets here. Do

I took my bunny, Charlie, here to get neutered and I was a little nervous because he's never had any type of surgical procedure. My concern immediately dissolved when I spoke to the staff. They are amazing! I was kept informed throughout the day and when I picked him up, he was still out of it from the anesthesia, so they took him back and cared for him for an additional 45 minutes, until they felt comfortable releasing him to me. I am so thankful that there are people in this world that care about animals as much as I do, and it truly shows at Tahoma Veterinary Hospital.

We’ve utilized this office for a few goat emergencies over the years and they are always responsive, caring and help get everyone back in shape. Our most recent mishap involved a couple of our herd having to stay multiple days and it was so fun having the techs and vet always talk about how sweet they were and how much they enjoyed having them. We will continue to use them for routine care and feel great knowing they are there should we have more emergencies.

Amazing vet- trust them with our dogs, goats and they have even professionally helped with my daughter's first chicken. Can't say enough good things about them. I am still in awe about how knowledgeable and thorough they were when our dog went through very complicated issues last year. Their advice on daily care for our animals has been invaluable.

Great vets and staff. They have been taking care of our Bruiser dog for about 6 months and was able to give us end of life care for our old man.
The process of losing a pet is never easy. The people in this place genuinely took care of everything for Chance upon his passing. Chance received a bowl of ice cream with ham and cheese. We received a paw print and they took our boy away from us one last time. It was very peaceful.
Thank you so much for taking care of us.

My lab Bo has hip dysplasia that sometimes bothers him, but usually he walks it off after getting up and runs around and plays with no issues. Yesterday, he would not weight bear on his back right leg. Dr… McKinzie called us back, ordered some meds that they kindly left outside for us as they were closed. So happy to say he is much better today and is limping, but walking. Bo truly loves Dr. McKinzie as he can be very selective in who he likes. He loves his vet. Always is a good boy and surprisingly will voluntarily go to the back with him when needed. I can not say enough good things about

I recently have taken 2 of my horses in for a teeth float and Dr. McKinzie did a fantastic job. Never have I had a vet allow me to feel my horses teeth before and after. He was very caring, gentle, and I never felt like he was rushing through the process which I really appreciate. I will always be asking for him when I need a vet.

I cut my dogs quick clipping his nails and I could not get it to stop bleeding. My kitchen looked like a murder scene. Called Tahoma and they told me to bring him in right then and there. I got him up there… and they stopped the bleeding all with in 10 minutes of me getting off the phone with them. They also didn’t charge me. Thank you so much Tahoma Vet. You guys are awesome!!!

Do not go here The lies are outrageous and morally and ethically wrong!!! They charge me $250 for canceling a Surgery. I found out from two other vet surgery was not even needed!!!! Not to mention they charge me about 400 for x-rays and exam about three in the afternoon and told me he needed surgery they did not wanna wrap his leg they scheduled… surgery for the next morning. Which was 12 hours away so how could I cancel within 24 hours? When I felt something wasn’t right I asked for x-ray showed a orthopedic vet and my old vet and both of them said do not wrap his leg let him rest

Great vets until your pet has an emergency. Often pet emergency's are not welcome. When calling to get a distressed pet in for emergency care you are told to go somewhere else or wait 7 or more days to be seen. Reception staff are rude. You are just a number to these people. They want your preventative care business, selling health plans but don't expect them to be there for you if you have immediate needs. Too many vets over book and leave no room for emergency care needs and this place is no exception. Don't expect to be treated politely, often the reception staff will ignore

We had a very disappointing experience at Tahoma Vet. Our golden doodle pup was diagnosed with Giardia as we were packing up to go to Hawaii on a honeymoon. We live in Seattle, but our pup stayed in Spanaway with a dog trainer while we're gone. Our Vet from Urban Animal called in the meds to Tahoma Vet for our dog trainer to pick up. After at least five calls, Tahoma Vet's receptionist kept telling us that the doctor was reviewing our order and they would get back to us shortly. Disappointingly, no one called back, and the script was never filled, even though we repeatedly explained

Great vets, pretty fast at getting you in and out for routine care. Great ladies at the front desk. they've spayed/neutered most of my babies and done wonderful jobs. The only bad experience I had was when I brought one of my puppies in and the tech grabbed him quickly from my arms he got spooked tried to nip, she then got a muzzle proceeded to shove it onto his face as he screamed instead of asking me. Now he is nervous at the vet. (I asked to never have her "help" again) besides that it is a great vet

I have been a client for 20 years. The veterinarians are great. The problem is the clinic does not have the time to see your sick fur baby when they need to be seen. No questions by the staff of what the issues are just that they are booked and closed the next day. What is the point of me being a client when they can not get me in when I need them?! Guess I will have to switch clinics to one that cares enough for their patients to see them when they are needed.
