Charles and Jeanette Maresh opened the Maresh Funeral Home on St. Patrick Street in 1935. In 1948 they relocated to 803 Main Street where the Thronson Funeral Home had formerly operated. Mr. and Mrs. Maresh served Racine until 1972 when they sold the business to Thomas and Barbara Meredith. Tom previously served families for a period of 12 years at the Strouf - Sheffield Funeral Home in Racine.

There are only two times that decisions regarding a funeral can be addressed, pre-need or at the time of need.
It is my privilege to provide comfort to the families of Racine by helping them plan their funerals before the time of death; at a time that is less emotion filled. By doing so, you help relieve your loved ones of the emotional and financial burdens that a family faces at the time of a death.
We at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam are proud to support our active serviceman and our veterans who have served. Our staff will assist in securing a flag and making arrangements for any military honors the family desires. Unfortunately we've had experience with service related deaths and are familiar with the military procedures involved.
