Our Mini Champions program is a "Mommy & Me" class especially designed for 2-3yr olds where a parent attends and participates in the class. Kids get to explore new skills in a pre-martial arts setting like Rolling, Walking, Hopping, Kicking, and more to prepare them to become Tiny Champions and test for their first belt.
Parkour is what your kids try to do at home. It's the stuff that running and jumping and playing looks like in an unstructured environment for bigger kids. Guess what! It's really good for your child. It teaches problem solving, focus, perseverance, agility, strength, patience, coordination and more.

This program is more than just a workout, it's very individualized to meet your current abilities and help push you to achieving your goals. This is a great opportunity to meet new people in a positive learning environment.
Leaping from couch-to-couch as you watch your little brother slowly melting away into the carpet. I mean, it made up our childhood. You have the chance to earn your future instructor's certificate while teaching technique, focus, and fun to your best BUDDY! At the end of class, you'll present your student (friend) with their very own White Belt.

I firmly believe all the masters and teachers are great influence to all the kids who attend the classes. My son Jayden loves martial arts his goal is to be a black belt someday and is dying to participate in tournaments already ahaha so far so good one of my best investments has been enrolling my son at Amys martial arts since he was 4 years old. Thank you to all the masters and teachers at Amy’s martial arts for your dedication To all the kids in our community.

Classes and instructors were good/ok. My toddler just wasn't enjoying it which isn't the gym's fault. Also any kid can just test and be promoted into a higher rank which is wack. No consideration to if the kid has actually put in the work to deserve a higher rank goes into play. And I know they're kids but that's what a martial art is for, to teach hard work and respect. Not just show up and be rewarded of course this is done to have parents pay another fee. But we did go and request to cancel the membership in Dec 2021 and the front desk told us that we were good to go and it would all be canceled

I will never bring my kids back. They are immature, and do not know how to deal with any conflict. Multiple times I was told to come get my 4 year old because he was acting up. My older children told me on many occasions that he was being beat up on and was defending himself however he was the only one being put in time out or pulled from activities. I brought a medicated cream for them to put on him to relax him so he could take a nap (he's 4! He needs one) within 24 hrs it was "accidently thrown away" I took a pillow and blanket for him but "they can't find them either". I prepaid the whole summer

I have 2 boys that have been going to AMYS and we've been members for about 3 years. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. First off, the staff is first rate. They are kind, professional, understanding, adaptable, friendly, skilled, and really get to know your child.
The facilities are well-suited to progress and a welcoming to watch your child during class.
The curriculum and progress through tapes, and belt graduations are very motivating and are perfectly suited to expect learning and progress, and not just award 'participation.'
We tried other martial arts facilities

Instructors are great and knowledgeable. Very patient with children. I felt the communication needed some work. I had no idea what was going on half the time. No one explained to me how my daughter needed to earn her belt nor did they talk to me about upcoming events, programs, a fb page, etc.. I paid to have my daughter test for her belt because they pushed for it. I didn't realize she didn't need to test because she just got her first belt. When I asked for a refund they kept directing away from my question. Needless to say, I never got my money back. They also don't just let you cancel your membership

We LOVE AMYS. This studio keeps Wowing me. The instructors are kind, patient, firm, and have helped my two boys immensely. My eldest has ADHD and his self-discipline has already improved since enrolling. My youngest is pretty shy, and he's tried so many new things because of this class.
Not to mention, the monthly events, camps, and after school programs are just an amazing resource. Highly recommend!

Updating my review from 2014, we're still big fans of AMYS Martial Arts. Our oldest son has been a student for four years and our younger son started just last year when he was 22 months old. The class for 2-3 year olds is super fun with tumbling and play, my son LOVES it.
My older son recently started sparring training and really loves it too. It helps him focus and learn how to control his body. Watching taekwondo in the Olympics last year only fueled his enthusiasm.
The instructors at AMYS, Master Amely, Master Moras, Miss Samy and Mr Jared and all amazing. They're patient and amazing

Amys Martial Arts has been so great for my daughter. She has been there for almost 3 years and has improved in her physical and emotional abilities and strength. There are phenomenal instructors with great knowledge, ability to teach, morals and values that they instill. The environment is clean, plenty of space, beautiful gym. The students and instructors are all wonderful and helpful. All of the students are very respectful and very eager to learn. No one has an "ego", and everyone is helpful to each other.
