When I went to Julie with my hair disaster she was able to transform my orange highlights into a beautiful beach blonde look. She also helped me go from a dark brown to blonde in one sitting! She made we feel very comfortable and really listened to what i wanted. When she trimmed my hair she took just the slightest amount, I was so pleased.
Because in the past I've had hair dressers cut way to much even after I explained what I wanted. She is Amazing I can NOT wait to go back to her to put some pink streaks in my hair! I Recommend her 100%. Julie is a total pro and very friendly. I love the thorough scissor cut she got and the other ammenities made the whole thing a great experience.

Julie is a phenomenal stylist. She takes her time to work with you and is an honest perfectionist. You can trust she would never let you leave the salon without feeling completely satisfied. Today, as I watched her do my hair for an installation of tape-in extensions, I saw how she took the time to truly make my hair look perfect. Julie is by far the BEST hair dresser in all of San Diego! I have always been so nervous and never trusted getting my hair done b/c most Salons I went to would chop so much hair off. But Julie is very attentive and sensitive to follow through with what it is you would like the outcome of your hair to look like. She knows how to keep you looking beautiful but natural all in one. Julie has been trimming my hair for a while and she does a great job keeping it long! But for years I've been trying to grow my hair super long and recently I gave in and got hair extensions. I was afraid to do it at first, but I couldn't be happier with the results! They look and feel totally natural and I've gotten countless compliments on my hair since I got them done. I found Julie because she is located next to my favorite spray tanning place Summer Sheen and lash place I.M.A Beauty. I've been coming to her for blowouts for so long and she recommended doing a Brazilian blowout. I finally tried it and I can tell a huge difference in how nice my hair looks after I blow dry it myself and it dries so much faster. I love it! She did such a great job with it that I am going to try her for color finally! Go see her!

I heard about Julie through other yelpers that were posting positive reviews about her and the work she does. I scheduled my appointment online on Styleseat for a partial highlight for today. She did not disappoint! She listened patiently to what I wanted to get done, which means a lot. I've had my hair done before and it didn't look how I wanted it to look because I couldn't really put into words exactly what I was looking for. Julie nailed it! My lady just had a color & cut done and is extremely happy with the color and the cut.
Julie was fantastic.
Her cut looks great. I was told that Julie really listened to what she wanted for color and worked with her. She's had cuts done by some of the best stylists in San Diego and I've never seen her happier than with Julie's results.

Julie is the best! I've been coming to her for my Brazilian blowouts for 3 years now and my ho has never been more healthy and strong - and I save SO much time. I will say that I think using the products in critical - but the best part is that she offers them at a very reasonable price and I have NEVER felt "upsold" by her. She is the most sweet and wonderful to chat with, and she is the most dependable hair stylist i have ever found! I also love the online booking system she uses - no snotty receptionists and you can easily schedule or edit your own appointment.

I FREAKING LOVE HER AND HER WORK! I've been coming to her for over a year now, and I've never left her salon feeling anything less than beautiful! Not only does she do an amazing job, she's also good company. There's never a dull moment of conversation.
I've come to her for haircuts, full highlights, touch ups, and ombre's and I've always gotten what I've asked for with exceeded expectations and affordable prices.

Julie is awesome. My hair always looks amazing when I leave her studio. She's an expert with color and my Brazilian blowouts look amazing. My only complaint is that she's so popular that it can be hard to book an appointment that works with my busy schedule :)

Found Jewels Hair Design from a Bloomspot deal for a Brazilian Blowout. I had one a few months ago but didn't want to spend a butt-load for another until I saw the too good to be true deal online. I instantly wanted to give it a try since the holidays are coming up--why not.
From start to finish, my experience at Jewels Hair Design was the better than any high end salon. Julie did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend her to all my friends and fam!
Best thing is, she's open til 9 so I can still book an appointment after working hours!
