Goetter Therapeutic Massage

Licensed massage therapists have completed college level human anatomy, physiology, and swedish massage courses as well as having been exposed to adjunct therapies or specialties. These specialty therapies vary as widely as the ailments they treat. Our general sessions may include a personalized combination of swedish, deep tissue, craniosacral, neuromuscular, myofascial release, reflexology and lymphatic drainage, or oncology therapies.

Therapeutic massage enhances the restorative qualities in all the major systems of the body. Long, deep, percussive, and kneading strokes are used in various combinations to mechanically increase the circulation of blood and lymph. In response, chemicals such as endorphins are then released by your nervous system, breathing and digestion become more expansive, toxins elimination is boosted and healthy new tissue growth increases.

Each massage experience is different depending on the therapist, client and type of massage being performed. Some muscle soreness during a massage, especially in a deeper tissue massage, is normal. It is important to communicate with the therapist in regard to comfort level (pressure, draping) or any concerns you may have during the massage session.
