Services
Established in 2013, LUXSF is a neighborhood San Francisco Healthy Nail Certified salon focused on providing non-toxic nail care and services in a boutique setting. Utilizing medically sterilized and/or single-use manicure and pedicure utensils, our nail services start with nail polish removal (acetone-free upon request) and our lotion and exfoliating scrubs are free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates.
Thank you for your interest in our at-home services. Currently, we are only taking at-home appointments for Monday-Thursday mornings and evenings. Okay so let me first start off by saying its usually hard to get back into working out once you start again, but the staff was really supportive and friendly. Your definitely going to get what you pay for & see results. But I particularly wanted to mention a particular person who made me feel right at home and motivated me to push even harder when I took her hustle hit class. and her name was KEANI! if your new to this I would definitely ask her. I left feeling sore and great at the same time! It was a wonderful experience and I plan to make this a regular thing. I'd highly recommend checking it

Great first time here! Both my mani and pedi technicians were very gentle, especially on my hands where I tend to pick at my cuticles. It’s been years since I sprung for a pedicure, so I was so glad that Thuy gave me a good filing and scrub down. As for my nails, Le turned my bitten up fingertips into sleek gelled up gems. Thanks ladies! I’ll be back ❤️

Love coming to LUX! Every Gel Mani lasts 2 weeks and it's made with safer ingredients than other salons.
Everyone on the staff is lovely and makes sure you leave with the best result.
I always get compliments on my nails when they do them. The picture below is the most recent mani, decided to go bold for the end of summer ;)

Got a gel manicure here yesterday and will definitely be back. Online booking was easy, and was able to pay and tip without contact with the card I used to reserve my manicure.
Jinny did my nails and was INCREDIBLE. She had such attention to detail and is extremely knowledgeable -- I had an unfortunate gel nail removal at another salon a few days prior and she identified the issue visually and took extra steps to address it. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience my first time here today. The booking was seamless, as was contactless payment, which is nice, bc who wants to stress about messing up their nails when paying?
I believe Bella worked on my mani and unfortunately I did not catch the name of the guy who did my pedi but they both did an incredible job on the coats and look.
I'm glad I found a cute spot with a relaxed vibe, amazing customer service and a wonderful mani/pedi.

Honestly the best nail place I’ve been to in the city. The staff is wonderful and talented. I’ve only once had a disappointing experience and they didn’t charge me at all for the entire visit (I had a manicure and pedicure and only had an issue with the manicure). Just make sure you book a day or two in advance if you want to go on a Saturday because they’re a popular spot!

First time experience with technician Michelle!
I was warmly greeted and immediately seated in comfortable seats. Albeit noisy due to a group event (heightened by rosé and mimosas, I'm sure) the soothing jazz and rosy scents erased any doubts that this was a snobby establishment.
I was offered beverages a gel ring "menu" upon seating and waited only 5-10 minutes before Michelle started working on my hands.
She was very attentive to my concerns about my overworked nails due to years of acrylics/Apres Gel X, and she even noticed and made sure to be careful with my long nail

I‘ve been here a couple of times and loved their service, especially their manicures. However, a couple of weeks ago I tried gel here for the first time. Getting it done was great, but removing it was horrible. It’s not the first time I do gel, but they totally destroyed the surface of my nails whilst removing the gel. I have a feeling, they didn’t leave the nail polish remover on long enough and started scratching right away. I know it’s my fault, I should have stopped the lady from doing it, but I thought I could trust her, assuming she knows what she is doing. Honestly next time I can

Friendly and punctual service. Nice massage with manicure with hot towels but the manicure itself wasn't good. My nails are not an even shape but she did apply the gel polish very well and was a very friendly manicurist. Uncomfortable but very good pedicure, she really put effort into it and I appreciate it. I just wish they had actual pedicure stations with taller chairs.h I'm tall and sitting in a low chair in a cramped place doing a Mani pedi at the same time was just uncomfortable. Very cramped and messy place. Would give the place a second chance with different manicurist.

Got a manicure and pedicure at this salon.. the service was friendly and I enjoyed the extra amenities they provide like hot teas, mimosas or water.
My nail shape and massage were both decent, and I liked the color that I chose. My only gripe was that the top coat was not of good quality. Literally the next day I could see my top coat peeling which was unfortunate because I got a deep dark blue color, almost resembling black. There was nothing I could do about it and it was super disappointing that my polish didn't even last a few days before peeling.
The rest of my nails were okay, although

Best nail salon in SF I've been to, hands-down. The pros significantly outweigh any cons, and even with the cons, there's a pro to it-- let me explain.

* AVAILABILITY: had to make an appointment in advance. I was able to book my appointment and my mom's the same-day, though. We got our appointments a few hours in advance.
