Owner and Master stylist of Isla James Salon, she named the salon after her fierce and beautiful only daughter named Isla James. Jeffie moved to Maui in 2006 after 4 years of mainland training and apprenticeship in downtown Seattle's hottest salon called VAIN.
Since then in between being a mother of 3 she has passionately continued her education annually with advanced classes in cutting, color, and styling in New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Oahu, and Seattle.She specializes in Balayage, Color Melting, Highlighting, Cutting, Extensions.all things HAIR!

First-time visit to this salon. My teen daughter had a significant cut (from very long all one length to layered shoulder length wolf cut) plus semi-permanent fun color (dark pink) from LIZ. Absolutely fantastic experience. Professional and personable, great communication and rapport, just wonderful. My daughter loved Liz. Plus customer parking (as rare as hen’s teeth in Paia!) and beautiful, clean, bright and airy upstairs space. All staff wearing masks. Will be returning for sure!

I called in last minute and Liz was available to chop my long hair off and OMG she is AMAZING! I was a little nervous to get a short haircut and pretty much trusted her with what was flattering on me. I'm so glad I did because it's the best haircut I've ever gotten. I feel light and beautiful and Liz made that happen! She was so sweet and just nice to talk to, too. The salon is beautiful and in the middle of Paia! Go! Now!

This is the most unprofessional salon I have ever been to. I did not like my haircut from Jeffe the owner. I scheduled a hair color that I waited almost 3 weeks for and went in the day I was scheduled to find Jeffe not there. I did not receive a phone call or anything from anybody to let me know that she was not going to be there. Horrible service. Not friendly. Seems overworked. Horrible haircut. I do not recommend, at all!

Jeffie, the owner, fixed my hair on very short notice after color gone wrong at another salon. She is very talented and the salon is really nice! I've already been back for a brazilian blowout which also turned out amazing! Highly recommend :)

At Isla James Salon the owner, Jeffie Harris, and stylists are excellent. Jeffie is very professional, and you can tell right away she really cares for her customers. She goes the extra mile to be sure you are completely satisfied, and she was able to understand my needs right away. She was really great! I ended up with a beautiful hair style and the color that was right for me. Jeffie takes care of your hair and your soul! Everybody there was friendly, courteous and talented! Also, the views from the salon are breathtaking. Will not hesitate to return!

Hair Extensions!! Benji is a master with hair extensions, color and cutting!! I've been to many in my long life and I've had other extensions but I'm in love with the ones Benji put in and the cut he gave to blend them all in. He is a perfectionist that takes as much joy in producing your dream hair as you will have with the end results!!

I had an AMAZING experience yesterday! My balayage came out beautifully!!! Benji took fabulous care of me! HIGHLY recommend you stop by and let Isla James work they're magic on you! I was able to get a day of booking(which is seemingly impossible on Maui.) They have a very clean studio, stunning lightening, lovely decor, great products and such an intuitive hair stylist! Oh! Can't forget to mention the picture perfect ocean views from their salon! Give Isla James a go when in Paia! I know I will be back.
