Previously known on Maui as Drouillard Hair, Catalina and Derek Drouillard are happy to rebrand as Three:Sixteen Hair Haven and take on the adventure that is hair salon ownership. After 9 successful years of hairdressing in Houston, Texas the Drouillards were ready for their next step.
They got their feet wet in the Maui salon world by working for other stylists in Kihei, renting chairs in Wailuku, and after 2 1/2 years of building their clientele a dream they had long held but rarely spoke aloud came true.Three:Sixteen Hair Haven is truly our home away from home. Had a consultation with Derek to add highlights to my greying hair. I do not dye my hair often and he had wonderful ideas to allow it to grow out gracefully. He was able to dye my hair immediately after my consultation (lucky me). He added highlights and lowlights and they turned out perfectly. It looks very natural. I will return.

Derek is awesome. He did such a good job on my highlights and cut. Patient and he takes the time to understand what you want. I went to him (based on a referral) because I was not happy with another salon/stylist.
Salon is spacious and nice decor. I'm sold and so happy to find someone that's good at their craft.

Catalina is a master at her craft. She asked the right questions to find out exactly what I wanted with my hair color and then she did it perfectly. She knows more about hair than everyone I have ever met. She worked around my schedule and she was lovely to talk to. The price was less than I was expecting as well.

I am a senior and just got the most wonderful cut from Derek. I have gotten a whole new look and my husband said it take ten years off my looks. It is easy care. Have gotten so many compliments. They also have taken great care in making you feel safe. The shop is immaculate and so comfortable. Give them a try.

Catalina is a very talented and creative stylist. She really listens to what you want (and more importantly what you don't want) in a cut and color, and it always turns out perfectly! She also lets you know if what you ask for wouldn't be best for your hair type and suggests what would be better. Although I haven't yet had a formal style by Catalina, I have seen several of the incredible braids and up dos she has done and they are truly unique and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Let me start from the beginning. Catalina was my hairdresser in Houston for a few years until she moved to Hawaii to follow her dream! My hair is not easy to cut. I have a lot of hair and it is thick, voluminous and naturally wavy. Many stylists are afraid to cut enough layers to shape it or layer it too much leaving it without shape and butchered. Catalina takes her time layering it so it still looks great as it grows for a long time. I always thought that if she can cut my hair she can cut any type of hair. With moving to Maui I’ve been trying to find my go-to gal for hair coloring my long thick hair. I finally found her! Catalina at Three Sixteen Hair Haven. She asked great questions to get to know my hair and me personally and is passionate about giving quality results. The color is so thorough throughout and I am instantly in love with my hair again! Love going to this salon. I see Catalina and she does a great job coloring and cutting my curls. Took a bold step to cut my long hair short after 10 years of long hair, I was super happy with the results. Catalina is easy to talk to and the salon environment is laid back and calm. I appreciated the pause for a deep breath and lavender oils to start out the visit. Would highly recommend this salon!

Highly recommend! Catalina is an expert stylist and did hair for my wedding. She made it SO easy! She knew exactly what would be most flattering for my face shape & neckline and immediately understood the look I was going for. My hair has never been styled so beautifully!
When it came to my bridesmaids, Catalina gave them all different hairstyles but incorporated common elements in each to tie everyone together. It was PERFECT for my mismatched bridesmaids!!

I admittedly have tough hair to conquer--curly, dry, pulls brass tones if I color it (which unfortunately I hate). I had a horrible experience over a year ago where a stylist lightened my hair and took a razor and hacked it into a short lob. If you know anything about curly hair, razors are not our friend. I didn't know that until after the fact. I was traumatized to the point that I just didn't want ANYONE to do my hair.

I have a pixie haircut and super fine hair. I've been going to Catalina for a few months now and I adore her! She patiently listens to what I want and achieves it every time. I appreciate how much time she takes to cut my hair and her attention to detail. I won't go to anyone else on Maui. Her whole system is automated so you can schedule appointments online and you get a couple text reminders before the appointment. She's easy to get ahold of via text and responds quickly. As if that weren't enough, she's a great conversationalist! I'm so happy I found her and recommend

Catalina styled my and my daughter's hair for five years and she was the best stylist I've ever had. It was heartbreaking when she left Houston to pursue her lifelong dreams in Hawaii.
