We want you to have the very best experience resulting in the best look for you. If you are more than 15 minutes late your appointment is subject to cancelation. We understand busy schedules and different circumstances cannot be avoided so we are happy to cancel your appointment with 24 hours notice.
I cannot get enough continuing educational classes. I have been in this industry over 20 years and never stop learning. Trends change and you need to make sure your clients are current or you'll get left behind. Just this year alone I have flown to the states 4 times for training and I bring it back for my staff.

Finally got in! Was always on the fence because of parking and availability. Everyone likes to go here so you have to book well in advance. Thankfully, they were running a junior stylist special and I scored a quick appointment for a fraction of the price. I'm sure you can call to make an appointment but their online appointments is very easy to navigate and you can see what deals they may be running. I got styled by April and she did a great job! I feel like all the stylists are super trendy and pretty friendly.

Decided to try a new salon and picked Salon 253 based on the great reviews. Those great reviews were very accurate. This was the best haircut I've had in a while - I have fine hair (but a lot of it) and my stylist Elana Opinaldo did a great job giving my long hair more shape and keeping it from being weighed down. The hair wash/scalp massage is also heavenly here. Some salons go through clients as fast as possible and do the bare minimum at each step. The opposite is true here! I definitely recommend anyone looking for a new salon to check out Salon 253! I'll be back!

Just got a haircut from Sara. I loved it! I was nervous about finding someone on Maui to cut my hair (having come from Seattle and LA), but there was nothing to worry about. Sara knows her stuff. She listens and executed the haircut that I wanted from the photo I showed her. It looks like the other people at the salon know what they're doing too from the photos on their Facebook page. I am going back to Sara for a balayage next month. When scrolling through their FB page, I saw photo after photo of really good balayages, so I was inspired.

I absolutely love it here. I normally hate spending/wasting time on myself, but Adiel convinced me I am worth it... And she makes it so fun! I walk out after every appointment feeling like a million bucks. Luckily, the services do not cost that much! The value definitely outweighs the cost. And, whatever you want, they can make it happen... Even if it is a bit out there.

I'm writing this review after going to this salon for over ten years. I've had experiences with so many stylists there, and felt compelled to leave a review this time to call out how professional, COVID conscious and thoughtful this salon is- especially having been open during a super challenging time. My main stylists are Nikki, Nicole, Sara and all have done AHHHmazing work on my thinning, dry and curly hair. I've had Manelle, Ace, Lauren and Chelsea and some others do really great styles too! They're busy so I never worry If I can't get my usual person, they always set

It was my first time getting my hair colored and Skyler did so amazing in making sure to listen to what I wanted. My hair turned out better than what I imagined. The ambiance of the whole place is just amazing and, I must say, they have good taste in music. Highly recommend!!!

Once I found this salon several years ago I have been a faithful customer. Adeil and her team of professionals are top notch. The best colorist on the island!! I drive from south Maui to get a beautiful blow-out because it’s the best. From the moment I come in I always feel welcome and the experience has been excellent every time. I 100% refer this salon to all my friends.

I recently switched to this Salon and am SO glad I did! It is extremely clean, very safe Covid protocols, super friendly staff with every person there!!! My hair professional was Petra! She listened to me, gave me her thoughts and we made a style plan together!!! I received an OUTSTANDING cut and style!!! I cannot recommend this salon highly enough!!! Mahalo!!!!!

Where do I begin?!!? Destination weddings can sometimes be stressful since you can't really travel for your trial run. Ever since I came in contact with Lauren, she made me feel super confident in who I was choosing for my hair and makeup. Everything was super smooth and any questions were answered quickly. Lauren did my hair and it was outstanding! Everything I had hoped for and more. My makeup was done by Nikki and I just felt so beautiful. I had so much confidence going into my big day thanks to these ladies. My Aunt and Matron of Honor also had their hair done, and my matron of honor makeup

I am very disappointed to learn that this business has gone as far as threatening, bullying and intimidating me to remove my factual review. I will say this again, my review is NOT based on their actual hair and make up services solely based on their customer service.

Love myyy hair! Would highly recommend manelle! She is the sweetest and is very knowledgeable. She works with the vision that you want for your hair and achieved the color I wanted as well as maintaining the health of my hair! Overall super happy with the results! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Sara was my stylist and she was so sweet and considerate. Being a busy mom I was ready for my long hair to go. She did such a great job and made me feel confident and comfortable. She cut it in a way that it would 'self style' without me even having to ask, knowing I probably didn't get much freetime for styling. And even styled it for me after my cut, which made me feel fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The atmosphere was great and its definitely worth your time and money. This will forever be my go to Hair place. 🤗🤗🙏

It had been since the beginning of Covid that I had my hair cut. Over the 8+ months, my medium-length layered cut had become too long and unmanageable. So, it was a bad hair day every day. I wore a ponytail and hat all summer. Last week, I made my first appointment at Salon 253 with Petra.
Firstly, I must give them a bravo on safety. The salon had all the procedures in place such as completing a Covid survey prior, waiting in the car until appointment time, wearing masks for everyone, and closing every other chair. I had naturally black hair and wanted to get a subtle dark brown balayage to change things up. Unfortunately, my usual hairdresser was completely booked. After looking through all the stylists' bios on the Salon 253 website and IG hair accounts, I decided to book an appointment with Sara.
For $200+ and several hours in a chair, it was a disappointing experience. The process was messy. As

Thought it was necessary to add another review because I am in love with my lashes! First off, Miki was nice enough to come in 30 minutes earlier for me as I had a back to back appointment for my hair right after. By the time this appointment came around, I'd already had my volume lashes done somewhere else for 4 weeks before with a 2 week fill. So I was coming in 2 weeks after that fill with my right side pretty much bald as that same thing happened the first time also.
