Jodi Chaplin has spent the last year as a care giver and homeschooling mom. I wanted to get out and do something fun while still making people feel comfortable and special. She studied to become a nail technician at Maranello School of Beauty in Northampton, graduated and received her Manicurist license in December of 2014.

I've recently started going to the lovely Rachel for my haircuts and eyebrow waxes. Rachel and her Mom are both the sweetest people. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable. They also use and sell the most amazing hair products. Not to mention anything you ask them for comes out perfect! I will be a regular soon enough!

I heard about this place from family while on vacation. I walked in 30 minutes before closing time and Angela greeted me at the door. She immediately asked what I wanted to do with my hair and I told her and she listened and made sure that what she was going to cut of my hair was what I wanted. We had a nice conversation and enjoyed my time with her while she cut my hair. I'll be back here again next year!

I have had two appointments with Jodi to have my nails done. Her rates are very reasonable and the quality of her service is high. I enjoyed my visit with her just as much as the finished result. She was upfront with me about being relatively new to the business and that makes me think that her work can only get better and better! She is totally willing to go out on a limb to give you the look you want, as long as you are willing to deal with a little trial and error. For Valentines Day we decided to do one of my nails as a heart. It took two tries but the third is JUST RIGHT! Looking forward to

I had my hair washed, cut & dried yesterday by the owner of State Street Style, Angela. She did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable! You'd pay $70+ for the quality haircut she gave me in some of the places I used to go before I lived here. I paid $30! Angela has a lot of experience and did exactly what I wanted (even better, actually). She knew what questions to ask and the result was awesome. Also, she's a genuinely nice person. Conveniently located near the famous Bridge of Flowers, this brand new salon/spa is clean and bright. I went in for my first haircut with Angela and got a great haircut. She took the time to ask if I wanted a scissors cut or a clipper cut. And then asked which clipper size I wanted. It came out perfect. I will definitely be back. She was busy before and after so it looks like others are happy that she is now in Shelburne Falls. I highly recommend State Street Style.
