From the emergency room to admission the care from both nurses and doctors was excellent. This’s has been consistent for both myself and my husband. You can also preregister for emergency. Not the case for us as heart attacks and other time sensitive illness.

I won't go into great detail because I understand that there is a serious medical crisis in this country, partly due to covid. Please do not go to this ER unless you have absolutely no other alternative. Their office staff is grossly incompetent, to the level that I would expect to see only in a third world country, and certainly not on Hilton Head Island.

I had to unfortunately visit this hospital for pain related issues that I was unable to get rid of on my own in Aug of 2021. Let me be clear here ... I have been to other hospitals before so I am speaking from experience. The over all service was okay. When I checked in I was the only person in the waiting room and I was in pretty bad shape. My husband had dropped me off because he wasn't allowed in due to covid. I assumed that seeing I was the only one waiting that I would be seen pretty quickly. I assumed wrong, iI took them at least 30+ min to get me in and once I was back there I thought I

The nurses and doctors that took care of my mom on the second floor were really good although, being out of town, there were notes for them to call me to update me on a regular basis, that didn’t happen. There seemed to been a little bit of a communication gap, however they took very good care of her. I will say this, the discharge nurse Melanie, lacks compassion.
Not going to go into a whole lot of detail about it, but I was told at 3:00 in the afternoon my mother needed to be released by the end of the day or at noon the following day at the latest. She was very curt, harsh and rude.

Went Thursday night do to severe stomach pain. I had been told by a radiologist the day before I had a tear in intestines fron an accident earlier this month that a fluid pocket to form and if my pain got worse go to er cause it could rupture. When I told this to the ee doctor. Dr clodfelter he rolled his eyes and said "that was quite a story" then shoves me twice during the exam, then when I told him I had a disk given to me by the radiologist in my purse he grabbed my purse and threw it onto my stomach as I was laying on the gurney. I've never felt so disrespected by a medical professional in

Went to the ER for a severe migraine. Was finally seen after 3 hours. They gave me a shot which relieved the pain and said they would send me home with a pill. At discharge they said they instead were going to call it in to the pharmacy. I am on vacation and headed home today. Stopped at the pharmacy to pick up my medicine and it was never called in. Now I have to travel back home without pain relief. Unbelievable 🙄

Because of the rising COVID cases, I knew I'd be waiting a long time. The most important thing to me is exercising patience with the medical care professionals, and that's what I did a couple of nights ago. I drove all the way from Savannah to Hilton Head ER because I knew from experience, the service I would receive would be the best. I came in with chest pain, and they wasted no time getting me in the system and in line waiting to be seen. As I said, they were busy because of the current pandemic. I waited about 3-4 hours to be taken to the back, but by that time, they had already taken my x

This hospital took great care of my mother over the years. She was taken there many times for emergencies and each time treated professionally. My dad is there now and the same care is being provided to him. My only negative comment this time is the communication from the ICU. It took 10 hours for anyone to give me anything. I was told 4 times a nurse would call me. No one ever did.

Currently my mother is in this hosptial in the PCU.
They wont update me properly or nothing.
I drove 13 hours away from my kids to be down here with her. So I am so broken and really upset. I have no clue what my mother's actual condition is. I'm sitting here balling my eyes out.
I don't recommend this hospital at all. This is the worst place I have ever had to experience. If you have a loved one. Don't let them go there. You'll get only nothing but vague responses half of the time or get rude replies.

On July 25th, we had to take my 1 year old daughter to the emergency room while vacationing in Hilton Head. Her arm had come out of place (nursemaids elbow). She was absolutely pitiful and we were eager to get it fixed. Everyone was so kind, from the lady who first checked us in the door, to the ladies at the desk in the waiting room. The nurse and doctors were great. They fixed her arm and we were in and out of the hospital within an hour! That little girl had a blast playing and swimming the rest of our vacation. Thank you guys for what you do, you are not taken for granted!
