West Houston Eye offers a large selection of eyeglasses, designer frames and sunglasses.
West Houston Eye offers a wide selection of contact lenses. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Warstler are highly accomplished at fitting all types of contact lenses, including specialty contacts for astigmatism and bifocal correction, and lenses for the "hard to fit" patient. Trial lenses are available for wear prior to ordering contact lenses for most patients.
Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, our West Houston optometrists accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. West Houston Eye is a "Participating Provider" of Medicare. This means that we will complete and file your Medicare forms.

This is the 2nd time I've come to have them to help me located and remove my hard-gas permeable contact. I was able to get the appoint quickly as I tried myself to located and dislodge with no success after 24 hours., the doctors and the staff quickly addressed the issue and I was out in 15 minutes at a reason price. That's a sign of a quality caring office

I went to get an exam and was charged $180 for an exam that was supposed to be $10. I went in and had my exam for The receptionist to tell me I didn't have eye insurance when in fact I did. I told her avesis then she proceeded to say no you don't have insurance. I call avesis and they said West Houston Eye wasn't in the network But I did still have an active policy. The receptionist never said that. She knew all of this information prior to me getting my eye exam and said nothing. DO NOT GO HERE! They will give you the service then charge you and outrageous price. They only offered

My family & I have been going to West Houston Eye for a little over 20 yrs now. They have always been extremely professional & helpful with everything from basic eye exam & glasses / contacts to helping with other eye issues we've had over the years. West Houston Eye did a very thorough job of prepping me for my exam after this dreaded virus has hit. They ask you series of profile questions before coming in and give you a bag for belongings and were taking extra attention to sanitary measures while maintainting social distance. You can still try on glasses and they keep them to sterized them after you have taken them off. I felt safe and that all attention to detail of cleanliness was excellent.

I have seen Drs. Rhodes and Bagwell and they are both excellent. The exams are efficient and I enjoy having the time to discuss my options (glasses, contacts, progressives. Etc.). They are both caring and attentive ato their patients. Also, the assistant with the eye glass selection is fabulous!! She does a fantastic job, knowing what shapes and colors will look best. I completely trust her judgement and have loved every pair!

Awesome visit. I felt comfortable, the staff was so fun and heart warming. They were transparent about costs. The staff was so helpful in helping us make a good choice for our budget. It was all smiles in this office today. I saw them interact with other clients and it was the same energy all around. This is a great family vision center and I'm so thankful to have found them. :)

A friend of mine recommended me to West Houston Eye since I was dealing with terrible dry eye and vision change. The girls in the front were so kind and the young lady who started the tests was SO FUNNY! Dr. Bagwell was amazing and I completely forgot I was at an eye doctors office! She took her time and spoke to me without making me feel like a "patient." Dr. Ashley Bagwell was so wonderful and she understood how I felt with my dry eyes. She took her time and I did not feel rushed. I love this office! Very welcoming and had a great experiance.

I have been going to Dr. Linda Rhodes since 1985 (or thereabouts). She has examined me and watched me progress from coke bottle glasses, to soft contacts, to LASIK surgery, and soon lens. The entire office staff was professional, kind, and efficient. I was promptly examined, guided from machine to machine, and left within one hour, with a new prescription, and new Maui Jim sunglasses. I was thrilled to see a wide collection of frames available.

I appreciate the professional and personal feeling at West Houston Eye Associates. I originally went to Dr. Rhodes for years, moved away and came back going to Dr. Bagwell and am very happy with the service for myself and my children. When my daughter had an issue with an eye infection, she was on top of it and squeezed us in to see her the same day. They have the newest optimap machine which allows us not to have to be dialated, love that. They take the eye insurance and do all of the filing for you as well.

I am so thankful to have found this practice. The staff works quickly and efficiently and they have a lot of nice frames to choose from. I also really enjoyed my prelim testing with the techs and Dr. Bagwell was great in explaining what was going on throughout the entire exam.

I really enjoy Dr. Ashley Bagwell's service. She and her staff are very nice, and take the time to get to know me and my eyes instead of rushing me out of the office with a new prescription. I've come to Dr. Bagwell twice now and really appreciate that they're able to fit me in on short notice (my work schedule can be crazy!). I referred one of my coworkers here earlier this year, and she also had a great experience with Dr. Bagwell.
There are two eye doctors located on the 5th floor, so be sure to go to West Houston Eye and not Westheimer Eye- otherwise you'll be confused
