I work at WholeFoods right near this practice and in need of a dentist. I just moved from Revere and need someone closer, I thought this dentist office would be the perfect location for me but after reading these reviews especially the latter one I will definitely not be going here!!!

I've been a patient at Fresh Pond Dental for years now. Today I had an appt to fix a cavity that was filled here previously. (This is not my 1st time having to do this). Although the Dentist & care staff have always been courteous to me, especially under circumstances of having to re-address previously treated issues, the front desk staff has consistently been an issue. (Even throughout the multiple changing of hands of ownership/management). I scheduled this appt last month, and received a text as I have in the past from their SMS service confirming my appt today. I love Dr. Sharma, along with everyone else at Fresh Pond. She is thorough, considerate, and highly effective. Her advice and recommendations on everything from tooth brushes to dental floss has been spot on, and I haven’t had a new cavity since seeing her (that’s over a year!).
Plus, Fresh Pond will get you in quickly if you have some sort of urgent problem and they are always on time!

They are an very horrible dentist, they will lie to you and tell you that take mass health and 3 days later will send u a bill for 350 saying u owe them money! also if u tell them ur on some kind of medication for ur health they look at you like ur a drug addiction and evening ask if you are!! This is the worst place I've been too. I called for an emergency appointment because I am in severe pain, can't eat or sleep due to the pain. I explained this on the phone and the lady told me they could get me in the next day to get it taken care of. I went in for the appointment excited about getting some relief. The doctor took a photo and then said to make another appointment to get the work done. I explained to him I scheduled this as an emergency appointment and the women explained this was possible. I had my cleaning done last month. First of all thank you all the freshpond dental members to make me feel better and safer place to visit during this global pandemic. Very disrespectful with their patients' schedules and needs! I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance, which was confirmed during the call. I planned my whole day to be there at 12pm on a Thursday. When I get there they told me they simply canceled my appointment because they couldn't reach out to me to confirm it AGAIN last week. They couldn'… t tell me why they couldn't reach me because my info was deleted (I gave my phone, e-mail and health insurance number during the scheduling process). Went in for my regular check up and was told everything was fine. I come back 6 months later and was told by another dentist that I have cavities. The dentist then gave me attitude about how "they don't understand why I didn't come in sooner" and "that I should have come in right away because this is negligence". Find another dentist, this place is terrible. They seem very eager to operate on even the smallest blemishes on teeth rather than waiting and seeing if they turn into full cavities like most dentists do. I really got the feeling that they just wanted to take my money and didn't have my best interests in mind. They constantly change and reschedule appointments which is very annoying. I also have had to wait over 45 minutes multiples times.

There is an over complication of everything. Appointments are often rescheduled (usually day of) to either an earlier time or a later time. I had one appointment changed to an hour earlier only giving me an hour notice. And that's not the first time I've had my appointment changed. It happened more than once. Odd way of doing business.
On top of that their seems to be a inept attitude in terms of inter officer communication. No one knows what

In conclusion, most staffs here are nice in a way. However the doctors here are very sensitive and you got to be careful what you said to them that may potentially hurt their feeling easily.
Their skill is ok for me, but i've experienced better one before. Nonetheless i appreciate the effort they put in beside the pride part. I personally wouldnt want to go back again, but hey it's not for me doesnt mean it isnt for you. I am not

This place advertises by putting flyers on car windshields in the Fresh Pond Mall parking lot. Hopefully some negative Yelp reviews will help discourage this anti-social practice in the future.
That aside, I have actually been to this place for a cleaning. The dentist did the cleaning herself, which I think is great, and that is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. But she had an assistant holding the vacuum tube who would poke around my mouth pretty fiercely and absolutely refused my request that I be allowed to hold the tube myself. It hurt. Every other dentist and hygienist

Three Stars. I'm going to rate this place as I encounter it. On my 1st visit I came early to fill out 'new patient' forms. I still had to wait. On the door it says "Walk Ins Welcome" I worry about that kind of claim when I am unable to get an appointment for 2 weeks when I take the time to call.
The Tech that did my XRays had great bedside manner. She kept saying: "So sorry. One more time." She was deliberate in her movements. No un-necessary deliveries. The whole process was painful but she made it tolerable.

Dr Vihangi Thakore's services were recommended to me by my neighbor, so I followed their advice and scheduled an appointment. I was very pleased and impressed by the professionalism of her practice. The place is very welcoming, comfortable and clean. The receptionist Natalia is very courteous and helpful. Linda the dentist's assistant is pleasant and relaxing as she prepares you for your treatment. Dr. Thakore, a lovely lady, is very professional, thorough and gentle. She is currently treating my entire family and we all are very pleased.

I was looking for a new dentist since I just moved to the Cambridge area. I scheduled appointments for myself as well as my son for check ups etc..,
I would NEVER return to this place!! The dental assistant was very nice. I have no positive things to say about the receptionist or the dentist so I'm just gonna leave it at that.
I would recommend to find another office. This place is money hungry and they have NO people skills what so ever!!

Great service! I found the place through yelp and got a same-day appointment for a chipped molar. The staff was professional, the place was squeaky clean, and I got a thorough consultation (which included pictures of problem areas taken with an oral camera and an explanation of my options) AND a filling, all within 2 hours! I don't have dental insurance, but I still found it affordable. (Unavoidably so, I guess)
