How can we safely eat out during a pandemic? Book a dining hut at Field & Main in Marshall is an excellent way.
The food is meticulously planned, prepared, and served. I had a dozen PEI (CDN) mussels as an appetizer. They were fabulously tender and tasty.
My main course was a delicious monkfish covered by a thin Serrano ham slice on a bed of mashed potatoes with mushrooms providing a delicate extra flavor. Every bite was wonderful.
I had an Edna Valley (CA) Chardonnay to accompany my seafood.
Dessert was a Goat Cheesecake with an ice cream roof. It was a fine end to a memorable meal. And our

This restaurant is awesome. The menu changes, but the food was fantastic. The service is phenomenal and such a friendly staff. Love the outdoor cabanas where we could bring our dog Ryder.

Amazing place for a nice dinner: the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is top notch. We sat at the chef's table and didn't find things to be too noisy or distracting; in fact, watching professionals at work was really cool! My boyfriend and I especially loved the use of sunchokes since they're not an ingredient we've had anywhere else. :) They ALSO went above and beyond and brought my purse out to my car after I had forgotten it in the restaurant! We'll definitely be back again, maybe in one of the cute little gazebos next time!

Changed 4 stars to 5 stars because we have been here twice and the food and service is excellent. Noted that they are not open on Mondays and or Tuesdays, wanted to have lunch on my wife's birthday but it was not open on my wife's birthday since it was on a Monday. The following week, we decided to stop in on Sunday around 5 or 6pm to pickup dinner, but when we called, a nice lady answered the phone and said that curbside pickup is not available today, because they were busy with people dining in. Attempted to call to schedule reservation, left voicemail, used their website to schedule reservation

They accommodated a party of 7 last minute, yet all went well. Service was absolutely fantastic! Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Burgers were delicious (just lacking garnish like lettuce and tomato, and served very plain). Beautiful atmosphere, loved the little private cabanas. We ate next to the kitchen, a bit noisy, but fun to watch the cooks. Thanks guys, what a fun time!

My wife Maggie and I and our friend Annette had a wonderful experience at Field and Main restaurant. I recommend that you make a reservation as early as possible as this is a very popular restaurant and it fills up quickly. You can reserve a table in the dining room, or if you want a more private experience, you can get one of the private cabanas right behind the main restaurant. Neal the owner is a Sommelier and he can match the perfect pairing for your entree. He made sure we had an excellent dining experience. For appetizers, Annette and I got the OooMami Smash burger with bacon jam. I’m not

This place is the culinary equivalent to heaven. For starters I had the broccoli dish and it was fried with a nice crisp and a delicious sauce. You can’t go wrong with this. For the main I had the omami smash burger. The burger was juicy the sauce pretty decent and the bacon jam sweet and perfect. The burger overall was close to perfection. The sauce wasn’t the most consistent as last time it didn’t taste as simple but restaurants change! The cookie desert is heaven but inconsistent. That’s all I have to say for today and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Upscale farm to fork restaurant in Marshall, VA. A pleasant drive from most locations and not too far. The outdoor cabanas provide an unmatched private dining experience. The owners have really pulled out all the stops to make your lunch or dinner memorable. If you can get a table in the bustling kitchen I highly recommend it - dinner and a show. At one point I thought I was in Hell's Kitchen, emotions were high as chefs labored to prepare their high-end dishes.
The menu is ever changing, using only the freshest ingredients. This evening I was able to enjoy the Asian charred broccoli, juicy bison

We took a day off in the middle of the week for a little R&R and decided to have lunch at Field & Main. It's been on our list for years but this was our first time to the restaurant. We reserved an outdoor cabana and were blown away by how nice they were. They can be enclosed with AC or heat, but we had perfect weather and the doors were left open to the refreshing breeze.
The food did not let us down. We split a large house salad, which was refreshing on a warm day. We ordered the seafood curry and confit chicken, both of which had luscious, complex flavors. We got a side of Pullman toast, which
