Eye & Health has been providing eye care services to New York City residents since the East Village office opened in 2003. Patients have access to a variety of treatments including Ocular Health Assessments, Eye Disease Diagnosis, and Treatment, Determination of an Optimal Prescription, Contact Lens Evaluation and Fitting, Pediatric Eye Care and Vision Therapy.
With an emphasis on communication, the doctors at Eye & Health educate their patients about preventive, natural and primary eye care to ensure that they understand what is happening with their eyes and to empower them with resources to prevent many deteriorating eye health conditions.

Went in with an eye condition and was eager to meet with Dr. Krsmanovic because of her great reviews but one of the women at the front desks advised me that my visit would cost me more than I’ve ever paid, which didn’t make sense since I’ve only ever paid the co-pay. She was quick to dismiss my confusion and reluctant to explain things further. Her demeanor was dismissive in general and although I went in with an urgent issue, I chose to leave and will be visiting the Dr. I had seen previously who is out in Long Island. The optometrist was fine I think but the sales team and whether they stand behind their glasses are not great. Actually awful, I still have not gotten my glasses and they have had my money for months. They dropped the ball and did not get me my glasses when they promised they’d be done and did not stand behind their error. Still trying to figure this out. I dread going in there.

Great experience! Came in for my annual eye exam. Everyone was friendly and efficient. Dr. Krsmanovic was kind and thorough. She addressed any concerns I had. The staff explained all costs and helped me pick the best package for me for my contacts. They also cleaned my frames and gave me a few extra pairs of contacts for no charge! Would recommend this office to anyone :)

I have had the worst customer service experience at this place. A lot of useless women sitting staring at the cell phone all day and completely ignored the client's requirements. I needed to order the lenses for my glasses, which is something that does not take more than a week, due to a bad information from them with my insurance the service took more than 3 weeks and when my glasses arrived back they realized the mistake! And for them it was the most normal thing that happened, they did not even offer to rush the service since it was their fault. WORST SERVICE IN NYC.

I came here for a supposed routine eye exam but was charged extra $140 just because I wore contacts. They charged me for a contact fitting when I consistently repeated that I was here for an annual eye checkup. The doctor was also a bit rude towards the fact that I wore gas permeable lenses instead of dailies. I also had never had my eyes dilated in the past and wasn't aware that the effects would last for hours after the exam. No one had warned me, even though I asked about it. Would not go here again.

AWESOME PLACE! Super friendly place. Upon entering I was greeted by the receptionist. Followed by being called by Dr. Krsmanovic (super helpful when talking about my prescriptions).
The young lady in the front explained by benefits with my insurance (that I didn't know anything about). Overall experience 10/10 would highly recommend :)

Very happy with the level of service. When I first came here a few years ago I wore monthly or bi-monthly contacts. Due to WFH and always being in front of a computer the Dr. recommend dailies. Yes, they are more expensive but why would you put a contact back in your eye you had in your eye the entire day beforehand. No matter how well you clean with solution when I thought of that fact it grosses me out. Since that visit a few years back my vision and prescription has remained the same, so I'm very happy there wasn't a decline in my vision. If you google the price of daily contacts at

Terrible. When I arrived for my follow up appointment for a certain procedure they said that the particular doctor for that procedure was not in today when I clearly stated what I needed when I was booking. I asked them why I wasn't notified in this change of schedule, and they just said in a confused manner "but we got a replacement doctor". Okay, yes, but not one who could see me! I came all the way from New Jersey, took the day off work and not only that my husband also took a day off work from his very busy and stressful schedule so he could help me get home when my eyes were

The receptionist was nice and accommodating and the Optometrist was friendly, knowledgeable but also that special kind of empathy that comes with really enjoying her job which was comforting. I needed a new eye doctor near my apartment in the LES and found this on Zocdoc with ease. The appointment with Dr. Krsmanovic went really well and I thought she was efficient, thorough, and had great bedside manner. The inside was clean and followed COVID protocols, so during the short wait I had no complaints on that part. Unfortunately though, I will not be returning and recommend that you look elsewhere as well.

Depends on the staff... Great place for eye glasses. Would have given this place a 4 but the staff members did not communicate well. Staff members said my glasses would come in 3-4 days for a $500 glasses. Physically went to the location and they said they would call me.
When I went 2 weeks later, they still said they would call me and send an email. I opened my phone to check for the email and phone call in front of them and the lady doesn't even apologize.
Please work on communicating with expectations on eye glasses when they are pricey. Did NOT appreciate this. I told the lady I own

Incompetent doctor & unfriendly front staff!
I got my annual contacts & glasses exam over the summer.
#1 Doctor Nicole Sangani made 3 mistakes in my prescriptions (assigning a base curve and a diameter that DOESN'T EXIST and assigning an axis in the wrong degree). I only realized that there was something wrong about her prescription AFTER speaking to three contacts providers!
#2 When I called Eye & Health NYC for a correct, updated prescription, they sent me a new copy without her signature. This means the prescriptions aren't valid.
#3 When I asked for prescriptions

The practice is light, airy and clean. Lots of staff there on hand to help. Doctor was efficient and had a decent manner. My issue was the sense of hard sell, the feeling my referral was to another doctor where there was a $ kick back . My eye insurance covers $150 for contacts (lens and or exam) but this practice makes you pay $80 of that instead of giving you the option to put all of the $150 towards their $175 contact exam, which wasn't explained upfront. If you're not buying stuff but just need an eye exam I wouldn't suggest this practice. Prices for spectacles and contact lens

I have given a lot of thought to posting this review but this incident still bothers me deeply nearly a month later. It involves the young woman who greets you at the door and handles appointments. Upon entering she immediately called me by a Chinese name. I replied with an expression and she immediately snickered, looked at the schedule and checked me in. (The girl admits to this and but not laughing in her message to me later that day.) This place wants your money!!! I had come for solely a new prescription and was tricked into bumping out my contact lens coverage for a "free" (not really) pair of glasses.
The associates kept pushing glasses for me, saying it's free - acting as if it was a store promotion. So I went ahead for "free" glasses. Then it came time to ring everything up -- all these fees, totaling close to $700!
