Mark was rude and unhelpful when I reached out to inquire about a listing. I was immediately turned off from renting from this company by his behavior and after reading other reviews I’m so glad I decided not to rent from this group. It is evident they do not care about their renters at all.

DO NOT RENT WITH LOW COUNTRY RENTALS! We co-signed a lease with our son - he is a student at SCAD. We signed the lease, paid the deposit. He left from Phoenix, az to drive to savannah, Ga. about 7 hours in to the drive he received a call from Mark Dewitt, the owner of Low Country Rentals who said the apartment didn't pass zoning so he can't move in. He offered no accommodations during the issue. He deactivated his account with Low Country Rentals as well. I called Mark to figure out what was going on. Mark became belligerent, rude, cussing and yelling at me. Offered no apology. Took no responsibility

I moved all the way from New York to an illegal not up to code home and then was told i cannot stay there anymore so i had to move within the one month of living there and am not receiving my deposit back, so far everyone i have spoke to locally in Savannah has had the same exact experience. This is a total scam and he turns off your utilities when he gets

Please avoid this company at all costs! Con artist, crook, shotty maintenance people, etc. I’ve attached examples of the way that he speaks to his tenants. If you challenge his criminal behavior, expect to be threatened by withholding your money, intimidation, and ruining your credit. It’s not an if but when this guy will end up in prison

Mark Dewitt ripped me off for $2000.I applied for a rental in Athens Georgia on Feb 1st 2021
175 Herman ST. Athens 30601.He made me apply online without seeing the house first.He said I would have to "act fast and send a deposit of $2000 within 30 minutes or he would rent it to someone else.He could not personally show me the house because he was out of town... When I paid the deposit he sent me a lease 2 seconds later...I drove by the house and it was occupied.someone was living in the backyard in a tent!..I called Mark Dewitt and kindly explained I did not feel comfortable about the transaction

Excellent service. My husband and I are extremely grateful for all the help the staff provided in finding our new home in South Carolina. They were professional and went out of the way to help with all the move in details. The properties they showed us were by far the best kept we had seen in the Bluffton area.

I was extremely happy with this company, I was looking to rent a condo with the possibility of allowing a pet. The office staff agree to check with the different owner to verify this could be done. Even though I was unable to rent because of this reason, they did call me at a later time to tell me they have a condo they wanted to show me. Sad to say, I had already found one but impressed I got a call after the fact. Thank you for your reach out.

DO NOT rent from this company! Awful move out process. They will do anything to keep your deposit. Lived in a rental for 5 years. Took better care of the place then when we moved in. Even allowed them to come in earlier to prepare for new rental. Workers left a mess we got charged for it. Was promised pro-rated return of final month. Got screwed on that as well. No explanation on charges other then the work done. They don’t care for their renters. They just wanna rip you off in the end!
