This was my fourth time at boho and it’s always a consistently fun, positive upbeat atmosphere. All the girls are so sweet and attentive from the front desk, to the assistants they strive to make everyone’s hair day a perfect one! Janet is my girl for life, she is SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED and educated. I ALWAYS leave feeling beautiful, and on top of it I never loved my color as much as I do now! Got my hair balayaged with Paula back in September and I’m still obsessed with the results! She was thorough and really listened to my needs. The salon is clean, bright, and carries a lot of vegan and sustainable beauty brands which is important for me as a consumer.

My experience today was amazing! Alessandra is the best! She totally listens to your thoughts and opinions, while also being able to talk kindly through what could be challenges. No, thank you. The website says they need a credit card when booking for services is over $150, so I was surprised when I called to schedule an appointment for a service far less than that and they demanded a credit card, saying it was their "policy."

I arrived on time to my a.m. appointment was checked in, and was waiting for a full 15 minutes before my stylist even came out to greet me. Kim was absolutely amazing! Not only was she personable, but she explained every detail of work to me as she did my hair and I could tell she truly loved her job. My hair turned out to be more work than expected. She never once stressed out and took the time to make sure the final product turned out beautiful without compromising the health of my hair. I really appreciate the time she spent on making my hair look nice. I’m a new mom who hasn’t really had my hair done since quarantine so this hair transformation really meant so much! Great place! The environment provided a professional and cleanly space. I have black hair and showed an inspiration photo of a light brown balayage. It was a bit pricey but the final product looked amazing and it was exactly what I wanted. The service is great and the staff is extremely friendly and good at their job. Definitely recommend!

There really are no words to describe the level of service I receive here. April is far and away the best stylist I’ve ever had. Her attention to detail on my color is outrageous. Her kindness and personality while in the chair — amazing. The food drink and ambiance — incredible. Just truly the best salon experience of my life. If this sounds too good to be true its not. Boho salon is the best! From the moment you walk in- you immediately feel “zen” in their lounge waiting area. I love all the plants! Maddie is the absolutely best 🙌🏽 She is a master colorist- and transformed my hair completely! She takes her time + walks me through everything to make sure I am happy!
Everyone is so nice at Boho- from the receptionist to the other stylists and assistants! Also- they give the BEST shampoo experience ever. A mini scalp massage basically with added aroma therapy.- I wish i could get my hair washed and blown out there every single week! Love them so much

I've had a wonderful experience with Boho Hair Salon in Montclair, this after having tried various salons over the years in the area. April has helped me achieve the color result I wanted and my hair looks healthier and much better as a result! I truly look forward to my visits. Hair cut was just ok!
One side was shorter then the other.. at the end she started going wild with her scissors chopping up my hair like a haircut from a horror film. Also, when I arrived they play the game I didn't have an appointment, even though I got a bunch of constant reminders via email and text.. I confirmed so many times but when I got there, I felt very uncomfortable and profiled. I did end up buy a bunch of good hair products but I will never come back at this pretentious, fake people , unprofessional place. I went to the Montclair location today, it was my first time at Boho Salon and i was blown away!!! I wanted to go super blonde and Janet exceeded my expectations! everyone there was so friendly and inviting it was by far the best salon atmosphere I've ever been in. they have a super cute cafe attached to the salon and offer beverages and food! I was worried my hair would be damaged after the bleach but it feels so soft, Janet really took her time and went above and beyond. Definitely coming back!!

Great experience at Boho Salon with Madison/Maddie! I came in for a "fall refresh," including balayage highlights, toning and a trim, and was not expecting the fabulous essential oil head massage or included blowout. I walked out feeling like a new woman.

I visited this salon last December and got a slightly ashy blonde balayage. I contacted the salon via email a few months prior to ask about pricing, their services and to make an appointment. They responded very quickly and were able to give me an estimate that was pretty high, but not as high as other salons in NY. Thankfully, I paid a lot less than what they estimated, since my hair didn't require as much bleach to lift the color. (I'm asian and had dark, virgin hair.) The salon is super cute and clean, all the girls in the salon were really nice, and Emily took a few extra minutes to ask me questions about my hair and the style I wanted before she started cutting my hair - which was a small gesture, but super thoughtful! I'm so happy with the end result. If you're in the AP area, you should definitely consider getting your hair styled heree!

Boho is the best hair salon for any service you need! Whether it's a Thursday night happy hour blow out with you friends, or a Balyage by the wonderful Maddie, this place truly has it all. I had been searching for the perfect hair salon since moving to NJ. I wanted to color my hair for the first time and do a cut, and I'm VERY picky. I was looking to do a balayage on my dark brown hair. I found other salons on google and Instagram and would make appointments with them and then cancel when I saw one thing g on their Instagram that I did not like (like I said, VERY picky).

I found Boho on Instagram and called them for a quote. I loved their work. They told me that they would send me a survey through email and then give me a quote-- it was kind of like a virtual consultation.

I found this salon through Instagram and absolutely loved it immediately! As a fellow hairdresser it's hard for me to find someone who gets exactly what my vision is, but Jess did exactly that! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and offered beverages and my coat was taken. My consultation was successful she made me feel completely comfortable. My daughter's wedding was last Saturday and we had the absolute pleasure of using Sally and Boho Salon for the bridal parties hair! My daughter and I did a hair trial at the salon prior to the event.
