Services
We offer a complete educational program for the development of young children intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Children play, explore, experiment and create in learning centers such as home and dramatic play, manipulatives, science and math, sand and water, blocks, language, listening, writing, and art.
We encourage parent participation through newsletters, celebrations, parent participation in the classroom and parent conferences. Parents participate in any way they are comfortable. Story time, class celebrations and signing up to help bring things to participate the class are just a few of the ways parent can participate.
The school uses the Creative Curriculum as a framework for developmentally appropriate practice. Teachers plan and implement a hands-on, active, environmentally based curriculum that integrates all areas of development. Children learn best through play; thus, the curriculum arranges the environment to encourage exploration and connection.
We have a strong focus on language and literacy which we incorporate through all of our activity areas, teacher directed activities and daily routines. Phonological awareness is developed through music, rhymes, and rhyming books, the understanding of books and text is introduced through information books, magazines, story books, and alphabet and number books.
Each day of the week has a specific afternoon enrichment focus to further extend concepts. We focus on music, arts/fine arts, Spanish/Sign Language, science and gross motor activities in a fun learning experience. To supplement our music time we have an instructor come and visit our classrooms. The children enjoy this experience that introduces music and movement concepts in a truly fun and engaging way.
