Bonnie has dedicated her career to improving and positively impacting hundreds of lives in and around the Treasure Valley through counseling, immersive therapy, and other treatments. She spent 16 years as an elementary school counselor and a total of 7 years total as a counselor at an agency, community domestic violence crisis center and shelter.

She has had a wide range of client experiences, which includes providing compassionate, creative therapy to children, teens, adults, and the elderly. Bonnie is knowledgeable and passionate and offers cutting edge and evidence-based therapy options like Sand Tray/Sandplay Therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and other forms of experiential treatments.
Services
I work with children who may be having difficulty with ongoing family changes/divorce, trauma, behavioral and social problems at home or school. I work with adults who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, transitions, relationship concerns, divorce, grief and loss issues. I also enjoy helping parents hone their parenting strategies and techniques and I offer parent consultations.

For those of you who don't know, sand tray therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses miniature toys and colored sand. And though this approach is often used with children, adults can also benefit from its use as well. When combined with traditional talk therapy, sand tray therapy can function as an illustration of one's life, giving them the opportunity to resolve their conflicts and gain acceptance of themselves as an outside observer.

The building has no sign for her suite, I tried to call twice and there was no answer so I just wandered around until I found the suite. When I found the suite the counselor was really odd. I had an appointment set and everything but I was basically given a business card and told to buy a book and was only spoken to for like 10 minutes when the apt was supposed to be for 50 minutes so hopefully she doesn’t bill my insurance.
