Stayed at this hotel as the last part of my mattress run to achieve Spire status... having stayed here before with my family, I was excited to see what was to offer this time around. While my group got a nice suite upgrade and we got to spin the Just Chilling wheel for free parking, I was a bit disappointed with the service and the room.

There were weird marks on the door and there was a leftover ripped bag from someone's previous stay behind the curtain. They forgot to deliver my water after 1.5 hours of waiting and were generally just slow at requests as well.

Had such an amazing stay at the Kimpton! The staff was very accommodating! Our room had a cute little view of the river next to the hotel. The front desk can give you a polaroid with film to use during your stay for a $75 refundable deposit as long as it is return in the same conditions it was given to you. That was honestly one of my favorite parts as i can keep little memories of our trip! They have a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and the front desk it open at night to buy snacks, drinks, and games. The bar was very busy when we were there so we never really got to try it. They also have a

The rooms are nice. The service is not great at all. Our five night stay has not started off very good. Upon arrival we packed all our suitcases onto there cart. The doorman brought it in asked if he could help I said ok , and gave him our room number. After waiting a very long time I went downstairs and saw our cart just sitting there. I asked if I could just take it. They said ok they weren't sure who it belonged to. At that point the front desk man asked if he could help me upstairs, I said no at that point I would just take it. Our room was reserved for four people yet there was only

Another great stay this year! Cute cocktail holiday pop up with delicious drinks, very comfy room with view of Boston. Big plus is the staff changed my room "4" times which is insanely nice to me, just to make sure I got a tub. It was confusing but turned out well. Cheers to Marlowe

2 stars mainly for the service. The hotel itself is amazing.

I was really excited for my fiance and I's stay here last weekend. I booked the room about 3 weeks in advance and reached out to concierge to have something small set up in the room for my fiance's bday before we arrived (e.g. a bottle of champagne, a happy birthday note). We agreed on this and I gave Jessica my fiance's name so it could be personalized. I did the digital check-in the day before, hoping that we could check in promptly when we arrived. The check-in line was quite long upon arrival around 3:40pm (check-in

This hotel is the best Kimpton in MA. The team is welcoming, friendly, professional, and hard working. They want you to have the best stay and do everything in their power to make that happen. I have never met an entire hotel team like this one. From the GM to the head chef in the on-site restaurant, Bambara, they are a well oiled machine.

The location is incredible. You have views of the Charles River, downtown Boston, the Garden. It's connected to a shopping center. There's beautiful walking/running/cycling paths. Right off the highway. Self parking is reasonable too.

It's whats on the inside that counts!

This tiny hotel has a lot to offer. When you pull into the drive-in front entrance you are wow'd by the decor. Looks like it has been recently renovated. The rooms I felt could have been better since it's a Kimpton brand hotel. Nonetheless, they were pleasant and up to date. Outlets easily accessible next to the bed. Large flat screen TV mounted on the wall. A fridge and a safe accompanied the room.

This hotel has a 2nd floor with rooms for events such as weddings or business meetings. It also has a mini gym room up on the top floor with new

Highly recommend the rooms are very comfy, modern and clean. All the staff is very friendly and helpful! We traveled with our puppy and we're glad to see how pet friendly this place was! 10/10

I've stayed at the Marlowe previously and had an excellent time. I often stay at Kimpton hotels because of positive past experiences. I enjoy seeing the pets of other guests around the premises. There's typically first rate customer service and amenities. This past week, however, I had a different experience.

At check in, the credit card machine fell off the front desk and scratched my hand. Then they were unable to match my previously reserved and confirmed rate via Costco Travel (despite showing my confirmation email and confirmation code). I was told it would be refunded back to me

Hotel is great and interior is impeccable, just like you expect from Kimpton's aesthetics. But:

1. My dad came here by himself with 3 suitcases and nobody offered him help to bring the suitcases or even load the cart. Lobby just said, "Oh yeah, you can take that!" He was taken aback by their response after checking in.

2. There was some hair (looks like cut/shaved hair and loosely fallen hair) on the bathroom floor but we were told that "there is no other option at the moment". And also on the long pillow. They all mean the housekeeping did not go through them properly

While this is a luxury hotel it doesn't rate a higher star sadly. We got off to a rocky start at checkin but after that the staff we encountered were wonderful. We were there for a wedding and the food was underwhelming given the establishment and the prices, it was delicious and service prompt, but that being said again underwhelming given the level of luxury the hotel boasts. The room we had, a jr suite was very spacious and the views exceptional, we were on the eighth floor. Sadly as a renovated room, within the last six's months we were told, it already showed serious signs of wear

Worst stay at a hotel we have ever had.

First Valet could not see key to vehicle left on dash. Very odd. They offered to take cash of $30 to park in front of entrance to hotel overnight.

When we tried to check in person at counter was more concerned to be talking to friends instead of doing their job. Gave us he wrong room number. There were other guest in room already.

Got new room and 1 of 2 keys did not work. Was told by front desk to use the key working only.

When checking out it took over a half hour to get car as we used valet. Which created a bad situation at airport. Kept telling

I stayed at the Kimpton Marlowe with my husband and two kids, aged 3yrs and 4 months. Overall, we had a lovely time! The hotel is connected to the Cambridge side mall which is really convenient to run to CVS… and to get to the self parking area. Theres no need to do valet as it takes like 2 minutes to get your car yourself and you have in/out privileges. The hotel is ALSO right alongside a canal and across the street from the Charles so we had some beautiful walks. Also a 5 minute walk from the science museum. The rooms are updated and roomy, I felt, for Boston. There was a slight inconvenience

Just spent a week at this property. My ranking following evening checkin (9 pm) was 0 due to very inappropriate behavior by the sole front desk agent. A guy like this should never be in charge of the hotel. He was also the only hotel employee to nevet be wearing a mask. But my rating quickly rose to a 4. Our room (a 1 room suite) was very quiet (although facing major road) and comfortable, and had a nice view of the Charles. All the other employees we encountered were great. Lots of very good restaurant close by. But guests are required to pay a $20/day Activity Fee, which I hate. Benefits include

Initially I made the mistake of booking the Marlowe instead of the Onyx downtown. My family and I were going to Fenway during our stay and I thought Cambridge would be too far if we ended up walking back. When I went to change our reservation I went back and looked at the reviews for both. The Marlowe overall had better reviews for the its location, amenities, and Pet-friendliness. We very much enjoyed the location and with how convenient it is to walk your dog. We took advantage of their loaner pet supplies and that was such a relief! Prior to the game we rented a taxi and on the way back we ended

I never wrote reviews, but the doorman at the hotel said the F word to me. It totally ruined my trip.

I stayed here for 4 nights from 5/21 to 5/25. On 5/21 Friday, I was really exhausted after catching a 6am long haul flight. Around 7:40pm, I went outside to pick up some food. I suddenly felt dizzy and threw up on the walkway near the courtyard. The doorman, a Caucasian in his 30s/40s (he was there on Sat too), shouting at me, " Jesus Christ, you f***, this is a hotel..." After I said I stayed here, he mumbled"sorry" without even looking at me. At the end, another tall staff

Every New Year's Eve, we stay at the Marlowe, and every year the accommodations, staff and service are exceptional. When a miscommunication this year with a Boston restaurant resulted in our New Year's dinner of two tenderloin steaks being delivered uncooked, Lina and Amanda, two terrific staff members, made arrangements with the hotel chef to prepare our dinner. The result was wonderful, and we can't overemphasize what a jewel on the local hotel scene the Marlowe is. We will definitely be back and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for unique and stylish accommodations

The room was large and clean. The hotel is beautiful. While there was no room service, they still charged a $25 service fee on top of the rate. Then it is $30 to park for the night and breakfast was not included. There is also no free internet, it was $12.99 per day. The beds were adequate but not terribly comfortable, the sheets were scratchy and not soft and they don't have a coffee maker in the rooms. While this hotel is very beautiful, I would not stay here again with all the little hidden fees on top of their high prices to begin with.

Looking for a hotel in Cambridge, I found this Kimpton Hotel in the heart of everything.

What was intriguing about this particular hotel was they offered access to free bikes, kayaks and there is a wine happy hour?? I pictured my wife and I doing a triathlon of sports during the day then toasting our accomplishment with some vino. Merica!

I take the Port Jeff Ferry to Bridgeport early. We go to Crackerbarrel for a quick breakfast and then head towards Boston. Once we crossed the MA border, there was an accident where a truck spilled paper billboard signs all over the highway. No one was hurt

This is a very decent hotel in Cambridge very close to Boston. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. What I like best is you can bring your dog and no fees no questions which is worth a lot. There is an attached restaurant that I also found to have better than average food. While pouches are free the parking is not. T stop (subway) is about a 10 minute walk away.
