After much research I had chose this SNF for my 89 y/o friend who had to be admitted for rehab due to head injury. They had the best rating on Medicare.gov website and I advise you to review for yourself. The inspection done here was rated tops for recovery and after 3 weeks I have to say I am impressed. As a medical professional myself, I can see the staff has the right attitude and spirit caring for the sick. The staff and administrator are well groomed, very pleasant, professional and helpful. I have contacted administration for clarification on policies and procedures since the virus has changed

Was trying to call and pay a bill for my dad who no longer resides there but no one will answer the phone and the one time they answered (out of 7 calls), I asked to be transferred to finance/billing and the phone rang for 12 minutes before I got tired of holding it and hung up. Seriously, what type of professional business doesn't have at the very least a voicemail system. Guess they don't want his $ 1500 bill paid and for all I care at this point, they can send it to his credit. To the owner, don't send me a generic reply asking me to call the same number I've been dialing for the last 5 days

I am deeply disappointed with the quality of care that my great aunt has received since transitioning into long term care at this facility. We purchased a phone and television for her so that we could call her and keep her as comfortable as possible. When I visited last, she told me that she was only getting one channel. We have tried to call her on several occasions and usually could not get through. We were informed today that both her television and phone were “lost.” I am not sure how one loses a cordless phone AND smart television, especially if both were labeled with her name. I would

I can not rate their service because I can not speak with anyone about getting a family member admitted. My mother in law has been trying for weeks to speak with someone. When someone does answer the main line they transfer you to a phone that no one ever answers. There is no voicemail and no way to leave a message. I guess this tells us all we need to know about the facility.

Our loved one went from hosp able to walk..to palm garden who left him in bed for three weeks no reg pt or rehab. he had 5 new outfits with tags stolen from his room..since no family could see him except in lobby the logical persons responsible were the staff..the director said give him a week to investigate but he said sorry we could come up there and look for the clothes..he was no help...collusion.. I think..I sincerely regret sending our loved one to that place where regression was noticeable...if you love someone Dont pick Palm Garden..one star because I couldnt leave zero stars

I really would give this place no stars if I could. They do not handle business very well. If you love your family members do not send them here. How they got five stars is beyond me. My mother and my aunt were here and they were not treating them well. They were severely understaffed. My mother missed her first appointment about her severely broke arm because they did not get their stuff together no communication and if you call to talk to someone they leave you on hold, that’s how they handle that.

I'm a licensed administrator in the Tampa Bay area. When we needed to place my in law in a facility, the family looked to me for advice. I chose Palm Gardens. We haven't been able to visit him but a year later, we came to see him in the long term care section. I was just extremely impressed with the supportive care our loved one receives. I view this with a critical eye and I even observed his care treatment. The staff all knew him and the interactions with them shows these loving people are giving him a great quality of life. Thank you for the professional care and love you offer him.

If one only needs to stay temporarily for rehab, unlike in the long-term care wing our loved one was in, the rehab wing has nicer and larger rooms with electric beds and the level of care and attention always seemed good.
Unfortunately though, the long-term wings were a whole different story. The level of care and attention my family member received after being moved from the rehab wing to a long-term care wing was very poor.
The cost for a long-term semi-private room ($215 per day private pay) was much higher than most other nursing homes in Mobile. I would hate to think how much worse the level
