My daughter (5) was explaining that she was having a difficult time seeing in class. As parents we were definitely unsure if this was true or if she was now wanting glasses like her best friend at school. Wanting to confirm either way we took her in to meet with Dr. Stybel. Everyone in the office was great and made my daughters first eye exam a wonderful experience. Dr. Stybel was very helpful explaining everything throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Look Optometry!

Although I'm visiting family from out of town, I received outstanding same-day service when my eyeglass frame broke. My existing lenses were attached to a new beautiful Silhouette replacement the same day, and after a few weeks of using them I'm still delighted. Aracely was friendly, very attentive to my preferences, and quite capable.

We recently visited Dr. Stybel to discuss myopia control for my son whose vision has been getting progressively worse over the last several years. Dr. Stybel was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and he was absolutely great with my son. He even texted me over the weekend to see how the new myopia-control lenses were working out for my son. I previously traveled to a pediatric ophthalmologist in Long Beach for my son's first eye exam and ended up here because we had what we thought was an eye emergency (a scratched cornea) and Look! fit us right in. Dr. Stybel was so thorough and great with this issue and with my son that I made an appointment for my daughter to come have her first eye exam with Dr. Huang, who was equally as impressive. Great selection of frames too! I'll be making an appointment to take my youngest son in for his first eye exam as well. This place is wonderful for eye exams and minor problems that arise.

My son and daughter both see Dr. Ryan Stybel. He is great with them and very patient. He is also great with parents taking the time to explain everything to me and provide options. In the last few months my son has been seeing him his eyes have already started to improve (or at least not get worse) given the myopia management plan we are doing. There was also a mishap that occurred with one of my bills and he was extremely apologetic, made sure to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and constantly checked with me until the issue was resolved. I recommend him to everyone!

Terrible experience at Look Optometry. I went in to get the blue lens on my sunglasses replaced, as it had worn off over the years. The woman helping me asked a zillion questions, when all I wanted was to replace what I already had in the sunglasses. She charged me $160 which I knew was pricey but I was willing to pay it for convenience since I live 2 blacks from the store. After spending 45 mins there, I received a call a couple hours later from them saying that they needed charge me an additional $90. I found this to be very unprofessional and odd. We have great optical insurance and we love this place! In the heart of Manhattan Beach you have your pick of high end designer or insurance covered glasses. They have the most variety I have found in the Southbay. You can get your eye exam and order your glasses then have lunch at Nick's or Zincs in Metlox and your glasses will be ready.

Went to Look Optometry after accidentally sitting on my Ray-Ban sunglasses. I literally handed my sunglasses to Aracely in pieces. She was very sympathetic and took time to fix them for me! Two days later a screw popped out and my glasses were in pieces again. Aracely, again, was so kind and quickly fixed them. I'm new to the area and wasn't a current patient at their practice. Due to my experience with Aracely, I will definitely return when I need glasses. Thank you and I'll try to stop breaking my sunglasses.

Dr Stybel has been my Doctor for many years. I love his warmth, common sense and clear explanations. He is constantly improving patient care with new and better methods. I love this new location! So many frame options and a lot of great frames for children! The parking is easy. So glad that he is younger than me .... because I don't ever want another eye doctor! My highest recommendation.

I was looking for an optometrist for my 4 year old and luckily I found this place in Manhattan Beach. Checked the doctor's background and I was happy to read that he had studies in pediatrics, so I decided to call and make an appointment.
After that I only can say this:

I was just told by a friend that Look Optometry was recently acquired by Optometrist, Dr. Stybel. I live in the area and previosuly saw a different doctor at this practice (who is no longer working there). I was due for my annual eye exam and was eager to give him a try after my friend was raving about his services. I am so glad I did!! He is very knowledgeable, personable and timely. His practice offers state of the art equipment (stuff I've never seen before). They also have an amazing selection of glasses! I am really happy Dr. Stybel moved to our neighborhood!!

Loved my visit. I came in after having issues with my contacts recently prescribed by another optometrist. Dr.Stybel definitely knew his stuff and had a solution to every issue I expressed. He is very knowledgeable & and extremely friendly.
3 things I loved:
1. They have a small handy machine that replaces the "eye air puff" machine. So if you come here you don't have to worry about looking into a hunky outdated contraption that blows the dreaded puff of air in your eye, while you concentrate on keeping your eye open only for the staff to say you blinked and have to do it all

I was having headaches and some blurred vision, so I decided to call Dr. Stybel to see if he could fit me in. Not only did he fit me in, but he diagnosed my issue immediately, fit me into stylish new frames, and immediately made my life better.
I hadn't seen an eye doctor for a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised to see all of the new state of the art equipment in the Look office. New eyedoctor found! Headaches gone!

I couldn't help but write a review about the NEW Look! Optometry in Manhattan Beach. Dr. Stybel is seasoned, patient and knowledgeable who just took over this practice and finally making it a new experience for locals (and visitors) in the South Bay.
I heard Dr. Stybel had another practice in WeHo and after reading those rave reviews I decided to try Look! The other reviews here set me back but when I found out its now a new owner and management I was excited someone like Dr. Stybel was on this side of town.
The space is beautiful, the staff is responsive and Dr. Stybel is smart, kind

All they care about is your money. Read other Look! reviews and you'll see this is not an isolated event rather a business practice.
I'm a customer service management consultant and any time I leave an establishment upset, someone's integrity is out. In this case it was Look!
All I needed was a simple screw tightening and a new nose pad on an expensive pair of glasses I purchased there several years ago. Immediately upon entering the store Mr. Silver asked what I needed and I told him. He said "We're busy can you leave them." I said yes, "when can I get them

Look Optometry is such a great medical office. In addition to wonderful medical service, the personal attention and kindness of each employee is comforting.
Dr. Silverman's medical expertise is conveyed in an easy to understand, and non-condescending manner. After going through a tricky eye issue, I felt informed and in good hands with Dr. Silverman. In addition to being a genuinely nice person, it's clear that he loves his job and wants his patients to succeed.
Furthermore, the front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend visiting Dr. Silverman.

Though I didn't buy my eyeglasses at this place, I asked if they could just tighten the screws so they weren't loss. Well, I was informed that I would be charged $15.00 DOLLARS !!!!!!
