Back to Basics is a family owned and operated business with more than 20 years of childcare experience. We are so excited that you are considering our facility as an option for your little ones. Our educational childcare goes far beyond what you'd find in traditional daycare. We take a different approach to early childhood education based on the belief that every child is willing and eager to learn.
We also believe that for a child to develop a love of learning, meaningful relationships with responsive and respectful adults is absolutely essential. Our teachers strive daily to develop exactly those kinds of relationships with our students. Our teaching strategies also offer a different approach to learning.

Services
Care designed with your baby in mindBack to Basics provides a caring, welcoming environment where your baby can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. In this loving, healthy, safe place, your baby will receive individualized attention for development, care, and play. Our Toddlers program uses hands-on exploration and social interaction in safe, engaging surroundings to help your child learn about his or her expanding world.
Creative Curriculum will allow us to assess the children and meet the state standards. When children are assessed on a regular basis, the staff is able to see how the children are developing; we can track their strengths and where the children will need more work, in order to be at their grade level.
Back to Basics participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture and managed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Back to Basics provides a healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snack. All meals and snacks follow the USDA guidelines established for infants through 5 year old children.
Through accreditation, Back to Basics has made a commitment to achieve the highest possible standards in infant child care, preschool and elementary education. Best daycare in Longmont, hands down. My daughter spent two years at B2B, and we loved it! It's been almost two years since, and my daughter still talks about how much she misses them! They have a wait list currently, but if you have the luxury of waiting, do it!! Your babies are in excellent, capable and loving hands!

Trusting your children to someone else every day is a serious decision to make. I’m so glad we chose back to basics! They love our children, and our children love them! They get plenty of outdoor, music and art time, and they offer a variety of foods for meals and snacks. I know that my children are well-cared for there.

Trash owners and management. Their classrooms are over ratio for children to teacher ratio, lead teachers are NOT CERTIFIED. They serve suger with two sides of suger for every meal and nepotism runs rampant throughout this facility. Avoid even if it's the only option you can afford it's not worth it.

Today (8/14/18) is my son's last day at Back to Basics since he's ready to move on to Kindergarten and we're extremely sad that he finally has to leave! He's gone there for the past 2+ years and has had the best experience we could've asked for. Annette, her husband Keith, her daughter Abigail, and their entire staff have left a resounding impact in our family's life. My son is bursting forth in confidence, ready to continue his education, teeming with knowledge and curiosity. B2B has helped shape and mold his brain into an ever growing sponge of learning and discovery! He starts kindergarten in

My 5 year old has gone here for about 2 years & my son has gone since he was 9 weeks old (he is now 16 months) and both of my kids absolutely LOVE this place! My daughter did 1.5 years of preschool and didn't learn much.. went here and knew her a,b,c's within the first couple months! They are very interactive with the children, they do lots of art work & fun things with the kids! There's a stretch and grow person who comes once a month & a music man who comes too. It's so awesome & they have such a great ratio with teachers to children. Very knowledgeable staff who actually care about your children

After researching all the different options for child care in Longmont we decided to send our children to Back to Basics. Our infant and our toddler are well cared for and loved all day while we work. When we pick up the kids we have all the info we could want about their day. I highly recommend Back to Basics for all age children.

This is a lovely place and family style daycare for kids. The principal/owner used to be an elementary school teacher so she knows what needs to provide for kids before going to elementary school. My son stayed there since toddler and he learned a lot of work (art, music, science, life) from school. He loved principal, teachers and this school.
