Executive Director, mother of 2 - Our first village grew from Melanie's pain and anger at the lack of support she experienced as a new mother. She brings a marketing background and a penchant for research, storytelling, and finances that keeps us ever-oriented towards our big vision while still respectful of our bank account.

Director of Operations, mother of 3 - Nikki brings a huge wealth of care to our day-to-day operations and community building. She keeps us grounded in connection at every turn. We rely heavily on Nikki's leadership skills, crisis management and human relations training from her other gig as a Sergeant in the National Guard.
Services
The Village makes its home in the lower level of Columbine Unity Spiritual Center in East Boulder. Our childcare area, Little Village, is loaded with fun and creative activities and supplies and spaces for children of all ages, both indoors and outdoors.

We offer a variety of gorgeous and cozy rooms to suit the needs of our members, including a large and inviting coworking room, a tranquil and inviting meditation and relaxation room, a social community room and even a family room, great for playdates and getting a few things done while your kids play.Non-mobile infants are welcome to be with their caregivers in any of the community rooms.
Running a business from home can be isolating. And extremely challenging if you have children in the house with you. Whether you are a full time work-from home parent or just using a few hours of your day here and there to work on your business, staying on task, taking phone calls and having meetings from home can feel impossible.
While you're enjoying your time working, taking a yoga class, taking a nap, or chatting over a cup of coffee, your kids will be down the hall in our Little Village, an incredible indoor and outdoor childcare area. They will be enjoying an enriching time doing crafts, playing games, listening to story time and, perhaps, participating in a disco dance party.
We are honored to have the support of our incredible business sponsors. These are organizations who believe in the mission of Family Village and offer their financial support and receive advertising, promotions and other great marketing opportunities from Family Village in return. Sponsoring Family Village enables your business to get visibility and access to our engaged and growing parent population.

Family Village is saving my life right now.
My mental health, ability to parent, career, and partnership are ALL benefiting from Family Village. The very affordable childcare fits exactly into my life, since it's drop in!
My kiddo asks every day if we can go to Family Village -- even at night, even on weekends. They just can't wait to get back to play with their friends in one of the many fun play areas. There's a great playground, music/movement room, quiet reading room, and a play pretend room (with cars, a kitchen, doctor kit, etc.)!
On top of that I have nearly cried multiple times from

I would go crazy from isolation as a mama if I didn't have this place! I originally came for the co-working but stayed because of the people and the opportunities to grow myself as a member of the co-op... and now it's my home away from home. This is one of the first places in my life where I feel like I don't have to compartmentalize who I am. Plus, my kid is THRIVING because of the community SHE has here. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This is THE place for moms of little ones in the Longmont area.
The space is a sort of sanctuary with a quiet and cozy atmosphere, modern and clean forniture, endless provision of delicious coffee, teas and pastries. Couches for mom's relaxing time, nice people to chat with if you are in the mood, WI-FI connection to browse and chill or work, rooms for privacy to nap, make phone calls, ect... In addition to this you can take classes (like yoga, zumba, knitting, and many more) or participate to parenting events (like milk circles, ect..) and other workshops. The space hosts parents night out events

It can be hard to make everything fit into the daily schedule, but everytime I make a trip to Family Village I am so glad I did! I always leave feeling rejuvenated. The space is welcoming, the people kind, and my kids are always excited to tell me about all the fun they had in the "Little Village." I am excited to see this place continue to grow and thrilled to have it here in Longmont.

This co-op is something I'm truly excited to be a part of. What a great idea to blend a co-working space and child-care facility. Not to mention, the space is very modern and comfortable to be at. I am happy to have this option for my 17 month-old daughter on the days when my wife and I are both booked solid with our schedules. Cannot recommend enough!

I absolutely love and need this space! Having a place and community where my little is loved and I feel comfortable is so important as a new mother. I love the group options and the flexibility!! It is just a relief to have someplace to sit, work, learn, and grow.

This holiday season I've been trying to intentionally say thank you to the people, companies, groups and organizations that made this past year easier for us. So, I wanted to take a minute to let people know what a blessing The Family Village (in Longmont) is to us!
I had heard it talked about, but it took me way too long to go check it out. I am a Stay-At-Home Mom to a 5 year old and 2 year old. We homeschool, I run two homeschool co-ops and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with my own private practice. I was running all day with the kids and then all my family time in the evenings was eaten

Family Village is such a unique and helpful business right here in downtown Longmont! You can use it for coworking, take a class, or just relax and chat with other members of the community while your children are cared for down the hall in the childcare room. If you don't have kids, the space is still PERFECT for coworking or taking classes, and the memberships are scaled so you don't pay for childcare that you don't need. The community area is beautifully decorated and there is always plenty of coffee and tea to enjoy while you are there. Also, if you use the childcare room, the childcare director

The Family Village is such a godsend! My daughter loves to come spend time in theĀ  childcare room (Little Village); and I love the opportunity to meet with other moms, discuss various topics, and get some seriously needed me-time. I highly recommend checking the space/community out!
