At Spa Hands of Gold we wanted to bring a boutique-style spa to the La Plata, MD area. We want you to walk in feeling stressed and walk out feeling amazing! Our owner, Renea, has been a local to the area for almost 15 years. She has over 12 years experience in the salon and spa industry. She and her team of massage therapists are ready to use their experience and let you benefit from it.
Please notify us of any medical conditions at time of booking. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to our appointment to make any preparations required. The spa is open to all ages 18 and above. Please notify spa if any guests are underage prior to the appointment and are to be accompanied by a guardian within the premises.

So where do I begin…? Well for starters, I’m not usually the type to get a massage. I decided maybe I should just check it out and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The location isn’t hard to find, the interior is beautiful and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and extremely relaxing. The masseuse (Shelbie) was warm and welcoming. She identified first what my reason for the massage was and then what pressure I would like explaining the different pressures. She was ready to start from the moment I laid down on the bed. The massage itself was absolutely phenomenal, and the staff were very professional

Massage table was small and uncomfortable. Walls are so thin, you could hear anything and everything happening outside of the room. No relaxing music playing. My masseuse left the room twice without saying anything to me. I would definitely not recommend this establishment to anyone. I left feeling unrelaxed, uncomfortable and wasteful. Both of my time and money.

Scheduled a couples massage for our anniversary... was expecting a nice relaxing massage with my wife but instead we got what I can only guess was a deep tissue massage that left us both in pain for 2 days after. Massage felt OK as it was happening, but the next day I was one giant bruise. Rooms were clean and masseuse were both professional, although is was a little strange that my wife's masseuse was a male. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience but nothing makes me want to rush back.

What a great experience! The staff was so friendly and provided an excellent service for a very affordable price. My therapist did an excellent job getting all the knots out of my back and then soothing it afterwards. The room was clean and relaxing. Will definitely return again. Highly recommended!

I received an hour and twenty minute massage here. The building is easy to find and very unassuming on the outside. Once you walk in though it’s nothing short of a high end spa experience. Everything was clean and immaculate as you’d expect in a post pandemic world. Sherpa was amazing and really surprised me with her pressure and ability to remove knots. I get monthly massages for stress and anxiety. I’d rank it my top 5 best massages and will definitely be returning.
