Dr. Elizabeth Holland graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 where she was named the top graduate in small animal medicine. After graduation, she joined the team at Adel Veterinary Clinic under the leadership of Dr Pat Rohret. Dr. Holland enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine including nutrition, preventative medicine and surgery.
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any animal. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
Regular exams and checkups are a critical component of your pet's health care. We advise all pet owners to bring their animals in for routine examinations. Seeing your pets for regular checkups allows our veterinarians to establish a baseline in your pet's body chemistry so that we can be aware of any potentially harmful changes.
We have state of the art diagnostic tools that allow our staff to better diagnose your pet's condition or illness. It is our commitment to stay on the cutting edge of diagnostic technology. Having these advanced diagnostic tools allows us to examine specific areas more closely and provide a quicker and more accurate diagnosis.

My cat was having health issues so I brought her here for a second opinion. The old vet could not figure out what was wrong and did loads of expensive tests, but after one appointment with the Adel Vet they knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I talked to the vet for an hour about how to handle it, what steps to take, how to prevent it, etc. We now go here permanently for both our cats because they are so good with them and so knowledgeable. By far this was the best choice to switch vets and start coming here. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I cannot tell you how much this vet clinic has changed my life. My dogs mean more to me than anything in the world and that’s how this vet treats them. They text me for updates, they communicate promptly and thoroughly and most of all their compassion is out of this world. My mom had to put our dog down yesterday and she does not go to this vet but yet they welcomed her and gizmo with open arms as if they cared for him his whole life. I recommended her take him here because he deserved the best team to send him off to the rainbow bridge. They had an amazing sign outside that made others aware

Dr Holland provided excellent care to my old friend, taking a multifaceted approach to arthritis pain management and even trying experimental treatments with him. She got us 12-18 more months of quality life together. She also worked hard to connect with me, thus provided medical care for a dog and some mental health services to his owner. The clinic staff are wonderful and we always got loving, personal and professional care. CANNOT recommend this clinic more highly.

Adel vet clinic is hands down the best Vet I've ever been to. My old dog was attacked by a big brutish dog and they mended him back to full health and were very responsive to his urgent needs.
Our other old dog needed serious teeth surgery to take care of her rotted out mouth and gums. She started to bleed from her mouth but was still a week away from her surgery. They got us in a week early and did amazing work! She has had an amazing recovery and I accredit it to the Vets at Adel Vet Clinic. They are knowledgeable and caring. They always follow up and keep you informed of upcoming reccomendattions

This place is a gem! They came highly recommended and they lived up to their hype. Our Rayce was so happy to see us come back, but certainly looked like he had a good time. No weight loss, as had happened before at another place. We will be back!

We are traveling through the area and our pup had some symptoms pop up... they were able to see us that day, the whole staff was incredibly friendly, from the ladies up front to the tech who helped get us situated. Dr. Lisa is great, she listened to my concerns and thoroughly explained the results of several tests we'd run. We left with a prescription, a game plan, and peace of mind.

They were really nice when I brought in my dog that later had to be put down, they got us out of the waiting room immediately when they saw we were in distress and put us in a private room. The vet was honest and sympathetic when it came down to what to do with my 14 year old lab. He didn't try to tell us to put her on medication etc he did what was best for my dog and I can't thank them enough for that. Slightly more expensive than other local vets but very clean and updated.
