A Matter Of Sight
Your eye care specialist offering comprehensive eye exam, emergency eye care, luxury eyewear, specialty contact lenses, pediatric and developmental vision care. An estimated 2 billion people are nearsighted, and it is expected to be 5 billion in 2050. Myopia (nearsighted), especially high myopia, can be dangerous, it is associated with increased risk of eye diseases.

Our office now has several powerful methods to slow the progression or in some cases halt the progression of myopia. We customize a program that suits your individual needs. Finally, we do not have to stand by and prescribe stronger and stronger glasses as nearsightedness increases. As Developmental Optometrists, we know the importance of proper visual function in appropriate development and the ability to learn new information.
Services
Dr. Delaram Bahmani was raised in Orange County, California and attended the University California of Irvine where she earned a bachelor's in Biological Sciences. She then moved to Chicago to continue her education at the Illinois College of Optometry, ultimately earning Doctor of Optometry.

Dr. Bahmani provides high-quality care for patients with a wide variety of eye conditions, as well as individuals who have undergone LASIK and cataract surgery. She is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT), which is a non-surgical option that uses specialized contact lenses to correct nearsightedness.
Our optometrists will inquire about your eye and general health history. This is important because many general health conditions and medications may affect your eyes. Your family history is also important because it will determine your risk for developing certain hereditary eye diseases. Our optometrists will determine how well your eyes work together and assess their ability to track an object.
Eye exams are recommended for children starting at the age of 6 months. During the early years of your child's vision development, they are learning to focus on objects near and far, to coordinate both eyes to work together (e.g., depth perception), and to coordinate the eyes to work with other parts of the body (e.g., eye-hand coordination).
Examples of emergencies include red eyes, foreign bodies in the eye, sudden vision loss and blur, sudden peripheral vision loss, eye pain, and symptoms of flashes and/or floaters. Many eye emergencies need to be diagnosed and treated quickly for a better prognosis. Your optometrist can evaluate your eyes and make prompt referrals to ophthalmologists when necessary.
We offer a wide range of contact lenses to accommodate various needs, such as single vision, toric, monovision, multifocal, and colored contact lenses. Single vision and toric lenses correct for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Multifocals/monovision contacts also correct vision at near for those who also have blurry vision when reading.

I accidentally lost a nose piece for my ic Berlin glasses. They had one and got me taken care of! I gave a review of someone else by mistake so this is happened last June. Now I need a new pair and I am ordering from you guys because of the excellent customer service I received! We were in town from South Dakota; luckily I had a backup pair but it sure was nice to have my 'daily drivers' back :-)

I. Called for an appointment and the woman answering me phone asked for my age and when I told her I was 62 she proceeded to say”wow!” I was so offended because she acted as if she had never talked to a woman my age. I am definitely not going there.

Conveniently located and operating in a clean space with comforting health safety protocols, A Matter of Sight is a great place to buy glasses. I did not need to see an optometrist for a new prescription, but I was able to walk in with my current prescription information and optician Alvin assisted me in finding a pair that was right for me, ensuring a good fit on my face. World class, highly professional service! Thanks, Alvin!

Decided to give this place a try and I am really glad I did. I was a bit overdue for my annual check up and was having a hard time getting in to see my usual optometrist. Appointment was made with ease, office was super clean and you could see they are taking the pandemic seriously. Dr. Bahmani did an excellent job and was very detailed. My prescription didn’t change but my concern was fixed by a new brand of contacts—one never offered to me before. Would highly recommend.

A++. This is such a great place. I had to be out of town so I decided to give this place a try. I had a really great experience there and would recommend to other friends and family.
1. The doctor really took his time in examining and explaining to me anything about my eyes health to different kind of glasses and lens. He answered all my questions and concerns with honesty and sincerity.
2. The place is very clean. I am very obsessed with cleanliness due to the pandemic but this place is definitely exceeds my expectation. Every glasswares I tried were separated for the disinfection for other

Quick history... I have a horrible stigmatism in my right eye America's Best, Pearle Vision, Len's Crafters all had my eye script wrong for over 8 years to the point i was content with it.... A.M.O.S. nailed my eye script!!! I literally almost teared up when my right eye could actually see 20/20... very professional, very clean, every one was nice and welcoming... looking forward to long, long relationship... My family has a new optometrist.

Edit: they worked to rectify this issue and were exceptionally great at the contact follow up appointment. Enough to go from 1 star to 3. If they get ny new contacts in without it taking 2 months, I will continue to use them. While my eye exam was a pleasant enough experience and the practice manager was nice in correspondence, I have now been waiting 8 weeks for my contacts. I was told it would take 2-4 weeks. When 4 weeks came, then it was 6 weeks. Now we are two days away from the 8 week mark from when I had my exam and still no contacts. My last correspondence has also not been responded to

I hadn't had an eye exam in over a decade so I walked in since it was a couple of blocks away and found the best eye doctor I have ever been to. I had been having pain in my eyes and she immediately diagnosed the problem and gave me instructions and the pain went away in 3 days. I highly recommend Dr Restagar if you want to keep your eyes healthy

I was searching for a good performance sunglasses for my triathlon race. After consulting with a staff at AMOS, I found a right pair for me. The staff was very knowledgeable on the products and asked me good questions in order to find the right brand and model. They did not oversell the product but rather gave out recommendations that suit my needs. I had a great experience here (knowledgeable staffs, clean and friendly environment) and would visit and consult again for my next eye care needs!

A Matter of Sight is such a unique place -- from the store's look, brands offered and exceptional customer service. The selection of their eyewear brands is so unique; I've never seen these brands anywhere else in Chicago. They are really really good quality also. Great to see such a cool place popping up in this neighborhood :)
