I wish I could leave 5 stars as Dr. Asano was awesome but I had an issue when it came to pricing. When I booked the appointment I was told the upfront price of $50, which I clarified multiple times, only to get charged $94 after the appointment. An extra $39 for a retinal imaging test (I was told you can’t opt out of) and $5 for COVID disinfection (which should be on the business and not the patient). I am very disappointed.

Dr. Asano and her team are incredible. I recommend them so much - don't even think of going to another eye doctor. They'e so understanding and kind, but also so good about recommending glasses/frames that make you look good. I get so many complimrnts every time I get new glasses from this team. Dr. Asano is my favorite health professional and truly the actual best.

I recently went to Eyes on Fulton for a new pair of glasses. I was apprehensive because of COVID but the staff takes things seriously. They take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer as you enter. Everyone wears masks and the doctor wears a face shield as well. It was a great experience and they have the latest technology.

I have tried 5 different optometrists in 5 years and have been very disappointed in the service, the doctor, and their inability to take the time and effort in my exam or in giving me the correct prescription. The experience has felt like I'm just person they could jam into their schedule and conduct a quick exam with little knowledge, try to sell me the most expenses products and get me out of the door.

You go there to SEE better, and if you're not sure what that means, she can figure that out for you. It's not just "1 or 2, 3 or 4", but if you hesitate or respond confidently. My prescription needed just a bit of tweaking, and after mentioning my dry eyes, recommended two brands with samples that were MILES BETTER than what I was using before. It was the difference between putting an eye drop in (new contacts) vs mini scratchy wool blankets

I sought out Dr. Asano after moving to the West Loop area, and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. They've implemented a robust online check-in system to make sure all of your documents are taken care of, and they've made appointments and pick-up as safe as I could imagine in the COVID era. The staff is friendly and helpful, and you can even use Apple pay to make the experience nearly 100% contactless. Which is the reason I needed an eye checkup.

Finally a proper optometrist who cares!
I had been to 2 previous optimists the past 5 years and they were both Pearle Vision's and they were both useless. Hellbent on upselling me and now recently discovered, giving me the wrong prescription.
Dr.Asano is incredibly nice, informative and seems to actually care for your vision. I was never pressured into anything and now I will be able to actually read books again. As I thought I had some sort of eye degeneration since I went to Pearle Vision only 3 months prior for a new prescription which was wrong.

Dr. Asano and her staff are excellent! Recently, my prescription changed significantly in a short period of time. She explained the reason and provided me with a new prescription that not only improved my vision but decreased the incidence of my headaches. I purchased my glasses from her shop and had new lenses placed in other frames and am delighted with the quality.

Dr. Asano is amazing! I wish I had a primary care doctor that was half as good as she is. She takes the time to explain details and procedures to you in a clear and thoughtful way and she makes sure all your questions are answered.

I have been a client for 2 years now and absolutely love my eye dr! Easy scheduling, text or email reminders, and friendly staff. Great selection of glasses with a range of prices. Staff help find the right look and fit. Very positive.
Since coming here I have changed my contacts per dr suggestion and it has been such a change for my sight and my dry eyes. I called in on a Saturday morning after a small issue and received help right away. Highly recommended!

Dr. Asano and Kelly are fantastic. Let's get that out there first. Initially, I was drawn to them because they carried State Optical eyewear. Secondly, they were close by. But what I didn't expect was to have such patient and helpful people in Dr. Asano and Kelly.
Firstly, Dr. Asano was the first person to tell me about how I could get dailys via insurance due to my prescription. Secondly, both Dr. Asano and Kelly were extremely patient with my glasses situation as I thought I had the wrong prescription (they weren't wrong). I've been going to Dr. Asano for years, even before she had her own practice. She's a good friend of mine so it's a no brainer that I trust her.
Now my eyes are pretty straightforward. I got Lasik done several years ago, so I just need a regular exam to make sure things are a-ok. My husband, on the other hand, gets corneal abrasions. His eyes are a big old mess. Dr. Asano has been great at helping him maintain his eyes and keep the abrasions at bay. Dr. Asano and her staff are excellent! Very impressed. I've been looking for a new neighborhood eye doctor and I've definitely found one. I was able to schedule an appointment easily online. I didn't have to wait at all once I arrived, and her staff is very friendly and professional.

Alright, so my glasses got run over by a car. As in, the glasses I need to be able to cross streets or recognize people without getting uncomfortably close or really see at all and wear every day. They fell out of my pocket while I was wearing my sunglasses and they had already met their end when I found them again.

It's not like me to review anything other than food. But, i have to make an exception here because the girls at Eyes on Fulton were just exceptional.
As a visitor from SoCal, i was kind of upset that i had forgotten to pack my sunglasses. So after a fantastic lunch at Little Goat nearby, I was so happy to have stumbled upon this super cute boutique.
The interior is like someone's ultra posh walk-in closet (like Lisa's closet from the Beverly Hills Housewives - she's the British one). Really different than any other optical shops I've been to. They have pink/magenta chairs
