Dr. Grant Goble grew up in a small town in south central Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison for his undergraduate degree. It was there where he discovered his fascination with the eyes and visual system while studying Neuroscience. Dr. Goble then took that fascination further and attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
Vision correction is a general term used to describe a variety of optometric techniques for correcting refractive error, or less-than-perfect vision. We have included a brief description of some of the most common types of refractive error and the ways to correct them at Eyes In The Park. Nearsightedness, medically known as myopia, refers to vision that is good at close range but not at a distance.
Conjunctivitis, commonly called pink eye, is an infection or inflammation of the conjunctiva - the thin, protective membrane that covers the surface of the eyeball and inner surface of the eyelids. It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, allergens and other irritants like smoke and dust. What most people are referring to when talking about pink eye is the contagious, viral type of conjunctivitis that your classmates and co-workers are afraid of.

Great experience here! Everyone was very friendly and prompt! Was called back right on time for my appointment by the doctor, so no waiting around at all.
Everything here was high tech and it made it such a nice experience. No more poof test where I jump and hit my forehead on the bar. They have a new device that makes it so much easier and no poof. Plus, they had a new machine for high tech pictures of the eye (costs extra, but worth it to me!), meaning no more dialated eyes and weird sunglasses for the drive home. So much good information in the picture that Dr. Goble went over with

While at work I had a slight issue with my scleral lens and CVS didn’t have anything I needed to resolve my situation. I stopped in hoping that I might be able to get some assistance and Dr. Goble and his assistant were super friendly and helped me deal with my situation. Super friendly and helpful neighbors! I needed a new eye doctor and found Eyes in the Park through my insurance. Dr Goble was really great. His office has the latest technology, which I thought was really cool. What I really appreciated is when I was comparing frames, is that Dr Goble came out to give his feedback in addition to the optician and front desk assistant. This made me feel like I had a balanced opinion that really cared that I found the best pair for me. I love supporting local businesses, and it's super cool that he does the lenses himself. They were ready the next day. What great service!

This was the easiest eye doc appointment of my life. I've been going to the same hometown doc for forever, and finally made the switch since we moved to Chicago! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband also went for the first time, and we walked home together RAVING. We ordered frames, new glasses lenses, and contacts. They'll be ready in the next few days and Dr. Goble makes the lenses himself. AMAZING!!! 12/10 would recommend.

This was literally the easiest eye exam of my life, and I have always hated going to the eye doctor. It was completely non-invasive (no puffs of air, no dilating, etc.), and Dr. Goble explained exactly what he was doing along the way. Also, the whole staff was extremely helpful in figuring out which frames were the best fit for me and my face shape.

We just moved to the city and needed to find an optometrist. We could not be happier with the care received by Dr. Goble and his team. Hands down the best optometrist I've seen. They also conveniently offer Saturday appts which is great for people who can't make it in on the weekday. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Unbelievable how good this place is. Definitely the best eye doctor experience I've ever had, by far. First of all I had a really long day, definitely did not look forward to going to the eye doctor. But my experience here changed my mood completely. Receptionists were very friendly. I only caught the name of one (Lilly), both were really nice. I had zero wait time which is unheard of for me. Dr. Megan Allen was wonderful and so patient working with our family. I took my two kids to her - one for a regular pediatric eye exam and the other because it was recommended by his teacher to get an evaluation based on how his eyes were looking all over the page while he was reading. Dr. Allen thoroughly examined my son and diagnosed his slight tracking issue and explained everything to us in a way that we could understand what was going on. She recommended some exercises to do with him and came up with a great plan for further treatment and evaluation and put all of it into a comprehensive

I was looking for a same day appointment and I found this place on Google. I called and they scheduled an appointment within an hour of calling. I arrived for my eye exam and was greeted by the friendly receptionist at the front. Dr.Goble was very professional and friendly during the eye exam. He answered any questions that I had. They were never pushy in selling me anything. I decided to see if they could match a price at another shop I go to for lenses and they beat it. I went in the next day without an appointment, I gave them my frames and they had them ready in an hour. I was very impressed

Dr Megan Allen is wonderful! I highly recommend her. First of all, the clinic's overall customer service was great, and it's clear that they are taking COVID precautions very seriously. I took my two daughters (ages 3 and 5) for their very first eye exam and was so pleased to not have to wait at all for our appointments and we were the only people inside other than Dr Allen and the receptionist. Everything had been thoroughly sanitized before we came in. We all wore masks and I felt very safe.

Seamless experience, great service and excellent care. Best doctor and office I have visited in Chicago. It was great being able to come in on Saturday for appointment. I love that they are current with the latest technologies. I didn't need to dilate my eyes and could go straight into other activities following my appointment. I was able to have my appointment, select new glasses, plan for contacts and pay in under an hour and never felt rushed. The conversation with the doctor was really informative and I learned quite a bit. Would highly recommend!

Best eye doctor I've ever been to. I went in for an exam to get new contacts. Grant was great and the exam was thorough but timely. Also, he went over all of the options for contacts & glasses but I never felt like he was trying to just sell me something, which I greatly appreciated. The reception area is very nice and the receptionist was kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

Dr. Goble was great! I was due for my annual checkup and needed to order new contacts. I didn't have a regular optometrist in Chicago, so I looked around for a bit that was in-network for my vision insurance. Eyes in The Park was right around the corner, so I figured I would give it a shot. I went on their website and selected a time and date.

Dr. Goble is an awesome doctor who truly cares about your well being. He's a super healthy guy himself and gives great tips on eye health and even overall health and wellness! Great experience when switching my prescription over to Eyes In The Park today! The staff was very personable and it was very quick and easy to switch everything over. Stopped in looking for some new frames and Eyes In the Park came through big-time! Dr. Grant helped me pick a pair that not only looked good but also fit the shape of my head perfectly. Just moved to Chicago from NYC this summer so I'm glad I came across Dr. Grant. Came back a couple days later and got an eye exam which was quick and easy, love the decor.
