South Austin Counseling Services offers individual, couples, family and group therapy for youth and adults. The professionals at SACS provide individualized services designed to help clients achieve balance, insight, healing, relaxation, hope and confidence. Counseling services are available in English and Spanish.
South Austin Counseling Services, PC, (SACS), originally founded in 1998 by Tammie D. Martin, M.Ed., LPC-S., is a multidisciplinary counseling group of mental health professionals serving southern Travis county. After more than a decade of private practice in south Austin, Tammie became aware of the need for exceptional mental health services provided in a calm, client-centered environment.
I strongly believe that your decision to pursue counseling is a testament to your courage and an investment in your overall well-being and life satisfaction. I operate from a relational, strength-based, person-centered viewpoint in my work with clients. I believe in your ability to increase your resilience and hope, and to develop the confidence that you can and will reach your wellness goals.

Tammie Martin and the staff at SACS are very passionate and thoughtful providers. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside of them on several occasions now, and I always enjoy these collaborations. South Austin Counseling Services has great customer service and support to their clients.
This review is for the unprofessional and unethical services I received from Travis Van Rum who is a counselor at South Austin Counseling Services.
I'm providing this review after seeing 2 other equally licensed therapists.
I would never get services from Travis. I found his assessment to be completely wrong and biased on his own world views.
He takes sides during couples' therapy. He is incapable of maintaining a neutral stand to the point of getting visually and verbally defensive.
He tends to tell

I am really impressed by the quality of services offered at South Austin Counseling Services! It’s no wonder. I met the owner/director, Tammie Martin and found her at once engaging and compassionate. She seems wise—not that she ever told me what to do because she didn’t, but in the way that she listened to me, understood my struggle and helped me clarify my feelings. I could tell she really cared. It was so helpful to gain that clarity. Tammie has a team of professionals that embody her same value for high caliber training, skills and understanding. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Tammie Martin, the owner, is lovely person who genuinely cares about her clients, and she picks only the best therapists to work in her practice. Everyone, from therapists to the administrative staff, is first rate, friendly, and caring, and the offices are really nice. You feel immediately at home when you walk in here and it's clear that Tammie and her entire staff work collaboratively and professionally. They use therapies that have the most science behind them as well, so you know you will actually make progress while you're here. Highly recommend
