Dr. Pui Tran earned his Bachelor Degree in Biology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his Optometric Doctorate degree at the University of Houston. Dr. Tran has completed an internship at The Eye Center of Texas (ECT) in Houston, TX where he performed surgical co-management of pre and post-operative cataract and refractive surgical cases alongside one of the top 100 Lasik surgeons in the U.S.

Dr. Tran and his entire staff are exceptional in their knowledge, eye care and friendliness. If you have any kind of vision or other eye problems, Dr. Tran will find a way to alleviate your issues like no other doctor can. He's by far the best eye doctor I've ever had. Everything was rushed and my daughter's prescription was wrong this whole time. The doc even suggest that she needed to go see a specialist, which is ridiculous! So, I went and paid for a second opinion and all she need was reading glasses. The staff there are slow and unprofessional, I asked for my daughter's information to be faxed over 3 times and after 2 hours later they finally did it. All this time and money wasted.

My kids and I have been going to Dr. Tran since we move to the area about 4 years ago. He is full of energy and quite entertaining. We use to dread going to the eye doctor, but now my kids look forward to it! We all wear glasses and my daughter also has contacts. They are all thorough and ensure that we receive the proper fit and proper prescription. I have no reason to go anywhere else!

Only one eye dr. to see. My first impression was that he talked super fast even when giving your test on which view looks better "1 or 2"? I did mention to him casually upon another visit because I couldn't help but think if my parents or heck, anyone else that comes here is not use to fast talking, you can get lost in the mix of conversation. I found this office after a terrible experience elsewhere! I LOVE him!! He makes every appointment less stressful. Both of my daughters go to him as well. The office staff is friendly! I would suggest his office to anyone who asks my opinion! He is knowledgeable and makes decisions that are best for each client!

I had never been to an optometrist before. I chose them because they had good reviews and they were close (they're actually across the street from my orthodontist).
The staff was very friendly. Dealing with insurance was a non issue. The doctor was really nice. Quick. Thorough. He seemed like he knew his stuff from front to back. I left with two pairs of glasses I use daily.
I will definitely go back there for a "tube up". :)

I was so happy I tried Dr. Tran's office after having a nightmare of an experience with "Ms. Hernandez" (won't call her doctor) at Vision Source in Garland! His staff are all so nice, friendly and helpful. Dr. Tran is funny, has a good sense of humor yet holds a very professional attitude. I have found my eye doctor, I will recommend him to others and I will be returning to them in the future. A co worker goes to him and loves them as well!

Took both my kids to him for their eye check up. One got corrective lens for the first time the other was used to the eye exam process. Dr. Tran took his time to explain to my son the process and even joked around with the kids.
He was very professional but friendly and outgoing at the same time. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and did to my father.

I came here awhile back to get my eyes check because my left eye was red for the longest time. It was the closest to my house. I paid $35 to see the doctor and at the time the doctor told me not to wear my contacts anymore and apply the eye drops and it should be fine. The secretary at the front desk said I had to come back in a week for a check up.

I'm really picky about what doctors I see, mostly because of my own paranoia from having worked in the medical field too long. You see/hear some crazy things when you work from behind the scenes in a medical office. Not all doctors are bad, but there are a handful out there that I'd definitely go out of my way to avoid.

I highly recommend Epic Eyecare. Dr. Tran was so nice and really helpful. I was having problems with my contacts and he listened to everything I said and explained my problem and the solution. His assistant was very friendly, she answered all of my questions and explained all the financial stuff to me in a way that was easy to understand. The best part is the glaucoma test he uses is not the horrific puff of air which anyone who has been to the optometrist knows is the worst! And with or without the the Yelp coupon the price was very affordable!
