Our Story began in 2002 with the purpose of providing quality, patient-driven therapy services to Lakeland Florida and it's surrounding communities. Mike Ryan, owner, president, and leading expert in Therbo Robotics. Leading Edge Physical Therapy has assembled a group of individuals that you need to meet.
Leading Edge Physical Therapy offers Physical Therapy Services. Physical therapy (sometimes abbreviated PT) is a branch of rehabilitative therapy used in the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat/cold treatment. Leading Edge Physical Therapy is proud to offer a variety of Specialty Therapy Services in addition to physical therapy, sports medicine, and work health.
Mike is owner & president of Leading Edge Physical Therapy. Mike has his Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida (1990), and Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Florida A & M University (1998). Mike has been married to Delta for 32 years and has two wonderful daughters (Heather & Juliana).

I was having issues from sitting 8-10 hours a day at my computer and not moving enough causing major leg and lower back pain. I went to Leading Edge for 2-3 times a week for 3 months and have had great results! They provide a personalized plan and are very attentive to your status and comments during every session. I learned that you have to be vocal of where the pain is and what movements cause the pain...staying silent or thinking you are being tough by not being vocal will not help your therapist. You will receive 'homework' from them to help with your progress which I will continue to do to

Hands down, Leading Edge is the BEST Physical Therapy office ...from the front office to the therapists to the equipment they use for YOUR results ...Results that you see and feel immediately because they work to achieve what YOU need and they strive for you to get back to living Life with mobility, with flexibility and with strength. The hip surgery gave me a new hip but the real results came from Leading Edge Physical Therapy.

I would give 10 stars if I could!!! The staff at Leading Edge are simply the best!!! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. From the time you walk through the door you feel like you’re a VIP. Their treatments and equipment are top notch. Everyone gets a personal treatment plan and homework assignments. I would definitely recommend Leading Edge should you have a need for physical therapy.

I had injured myself at work and was referred to Leading Edge. From my first visit to my last, I was treated with the utmost respect, listened to and instructed on how to better my wrist.
After completing my visits, I felt so much better and haven't had any further issues. Of course, should I ever need physical therapy in the future, I know Leading Edge will be the only choice for me.

I highly recommend Leading Edge for anyone in need of physical therapy. The staff is world class. They are friendly, compassionate and empathetic. Of course the results speak for themselves. Although my shoulder is not 100% yet, it feels MUCH better than when I started therapy about a month ago and am confident it will be because of the staff at Leading Edge.

I have been to 4 physical therapy clinics in the last 5 years. I completed 2 sessions here, one for knees, one for shoulder. Leading Edge's methodology is unique and worth your experience. Mike Ryan is a dedicated professional who works along side other therapists in the business.
