Dr. Tony Menendez opened his dental practice in Port Charlotte, Florida, in 1986. He is a graduate of Emory College and Emory University College of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia. He is dedicated to the philosophy of the Academy of General Dentistry and the pursuit of lifelong learning. He is a graduate of the two-year Comprehensive Dental Program of the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Menendez was awarded a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) after passing a rigorous exam and completing over 500 hours of continuing education in 2004. Upon graduation from the Comprehensive Dental Program, Dr. Menendez has continued as a visiting faculty member at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, working with Comprehensive Dental Program participants.

I’m 34 years old and haven’t been to a dentist since I was 16.. mostly because I was scared from previous experiences when I was younger. Well let me tell you that Dr Tony, Tammy and Tara not only made me feel comfortable but I literally felt no pain! Dr Tony is patient, he explains what he is doing, and insures you won’t be uncomfortable which was my main concern. Tammy is awesome, friendly, informative, and also insured I was completely comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend them!

I just want to say THANK YOU to Dr.Tony and his team!! Dr.Tony took the time to hear what happened to me at the previous dentists and then explained EVERYTHING in detail as to what he was going to do! He also made sure I had enough nova caine to work on my tooth. It was a great experience and I’m so glad I found him!!! My husband is looking forward to going now!!

I just WISH there was negative numbers we could choose from! First of all, there is a GIANT dog they have wandering around the office, which is not sanitary AT ALL! Then, they continually have billed me for a cleaning on May 6th, paid on May 12th by my insurance! NO ONE will ever call me back! Now they have the nerve to threaten collections! I am ready now to seek legal advice! STAY AWAY from this dentist! Their business practices are not good at all!

Tony Menendez is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is so knowledgeable, and actually cares about you. I am 25 and had to have procedures done on my front teeth and I never thought I would look the same again, but Dr.Menendez made sure I did. Tara and Tammy, are soo wonderful. I just can’t say enough great things about this place. If you are in need of dentist, definitely go here!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Menendez and his office. I was very fortunate to find a dentist with expertise in all aspects of dental care. He was knowledgeable, caring and extremely personable. His office staff (Tara and Tami) are top notch. They made my visits most pleasurable.

Doctor Menendez and staff are truly professional and caring. I had a great experience with my root canal and crown. Every step was thoroughly explained in detail and my utmost care and wellbeing was their number one priority. His assistant Tammy was wonderful as well. I highly recommended this dental office. Will be returning for a dental implant in the coming months.

After going to another dentist and getting a quote of $1,000 for a deep cleaning I decided to look elsewhere, I remendered Dr. Tony Menendez. Everyone is his office are so professional, got an appointment within a week, he discussed with me what he needed to do and gave me a very reasonable price, within 3 days I was back, he was so professional and made sure I was comfortable and within 1 hour I was done. We recommend Dr. Tony because he genuinely has your best interest in mind as far as type of procedure for your individual case. My hubby went to see him, after much encouraging from myself, to talk about implants. After a thorough exam and consultation we decided that wasn’t in his (hubby) best interest! From the moment I walked into this office it was a breathe of fresh air compared to others that I had been to. I had come to this office for a second opinion and I am so incredibly thankful that I did. Dr Menendez is very thorough in explaining the overall procedure. I went to see Dr. Tony Menendez when a corner of my molar broke off. I felt great, and had absolutely no sensitivity or pain issues of any kind...but knew I had to have the tooth repaired. Dr. M told me I needed a crown. Regretfully, I followed his suggestion. 3 uncomfortable and unpleasant appointments totaling 6 full hours of discomfort later, I am left with a $1700 crown that is completely worthless. I now have severe thermal and pressure sensitivity issues after 2+ monthslater of having the crown permanently seated. Dr. Menendez knew I was having issues prior to permanent placement, because

I have been going to Dr. Tony since I was kid and to this day I still go to see him. He is very knowledgeable and keeps up to date on all the new procedures and tech in the dentist field and always explains and helps everything he does before, during, and after your appointment. The staff(Tammi, and Tara) are always there to help and make sure your comfortable and always follow up after a major procedure to make sure your doing ok. I will always recommend Dr. Tony to anyone that needs dental work cause he's the best around.

I am so incredibly thankful that I found this dentist . I live in Venice , but the drive it was worth it for a trustworthy practice. Dr Menendez thoroughly explained the procedure . He also gave me different options, explaining them thoroughly as well. He talked me through each step as he went ... provided a mirror to ensure I was happy before making anything permanent. It was a really lovely experience . The receptionist and hygienist were incredibly caring and genuine.
