Dr. Amanda Rizner was born and raised in Browndale, a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class and went on to pursue a degree in biology at Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. She is a proud 2013 graduate of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry.

I’m a travel nurse far from home. My crown fell off my tooth while I was eating. It’s so hard and sometimes scary, when you’re traveling, to find a provider that can fit you in as a new patient and that you feel confident in seeing! I was able to get an appointment quickly and my crown was replaced. I felt confident enough that I booked my preventative cleaning as well! Great office staff, great dentist, great dental hygienist!

This is actually Debbie Bashaw and I am a patient here at Family Dentistry. The name is a true fit for this practice! They really do treat you like family but yet professional. I knew what needed to be done because I had been to another dentist that wanted to charge me a fortune. Dr. Risner looked everything over and created a treatment plan without adding anything and the practices fees are the most reasonable I have found in Port Charlotte.
The staff is very friendly and personable, the front desk is as professional and organized as you would have hoped for making becoming a new patient super easy.Love this practice.

Today was my first visit. One of my molars broke and I was able to get in to see Dr. Folks within a day. Since I was a child I always dreaded going to the dentist because I have had so many problems with my teeth. But today I felt very comfortable and at ease for the first time. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Folks really took the time to help me and go over my options. Him and his hygienist were both very caring. It was a great experience and I am not dreading having to go back in two weeks! I would recommend them to any friends or family! Thank you!!

Anyone looking for a dentist, I highly recommend, Family Dentistry of Port Charlotte. The entire staff are fabulous. They treat you like family. I have been Terrified of going to the dentist due to several very bad experiences. If you are like me, no worries going here. Dr. Rizner is wonderful. So friendly and makes you feel so relaxed. She is awesome.

Dr. Amanda Rizner is outstanding! Her exam was thorough, she patiently explained the suggested work to be done and answered all my questions. I had a definite sense of her competence. I received a detailed breakdown of the cost, which was considerably less than another dentist I had visited months ago. The facilities are clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful. I am very grateful to have found an above-average dental office!
