The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

Darren is a true man of God that has a heart for God's people. Every family is personal for him and it shows with his impeccable professionalism and dedication. We thank you for the care you used to handle my grandmother's homegoing. We were able to focus on healing while you took care of everything. Our family can not thank you enough for all you and your staff have done to assist our family. We were amazed by the comfort of your facility, we never once felt like we were in a funeral home. The modern art, sofas, music and more makes your facility stand shine far more than any of your competitors. We can not thank you enough for accommodating our unusual request to celebrate the life of our father-The live band, food truck, gathering around the fire pit, and firework show was exactly how he wished to be honored, we are forever grateful to you for pulling such a unique celebration together.

Where should we begin? Our family went through a horrific ordeal. Upon the death of my mother-in-law, we were preyed upon and scammed by a cremation “company” at our most vulnerable time. Who was there to pick up the pieces? Darren Newcomb. Darren, single handhedly, fought to get our money returned. What he did for our family is invaluable. We held a Celebration of Life at Avalon Life Celebration Center this past weekend and everything was perfect. The venue was beautiful and peaceful and everyone was helpful from day 1 (actually before as I had questions leading into our first meeting) all the way through the end of our celebration. I recommend Avalon and the staff to anyone looking for a beautiful way to celebrate a life for those who have passed. Darren and Scott were personable and professional. Thank you for making a difficult time as smooth as possible, so that the celebration of my dad was the focus, and not the details.
