As an experienced childcare provider and a mother myself, I understand how important trust is when it comes to day care for your children. Over my 25 years of experience in caring for children, my goal has always been to provide a stable, loving environment for any child that came into my life. That became even more of a priority for me when I started my in-home day care, Le Bon Enfants, in 2001.

Our space now allows us to offer the same great qualities that parents have come to expect with more room for us to grow and play. Le Bon Enfants is located in the heart of Virginia Beach's own Town Center, across from the very popular local landmark, Mt. Trashmore. Ideally situated to offer easy on/off access to Interstate 264, the major East/West artery connecting Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Norfolk.
At Le Bon Enfants, we pride ourselves on providing quality childcare at an affordable rate. Although our children usually set the tone, we believe it is important to provide structure and a daily routine. Our programs are all designed to encourage children to learn through manipulative and imaginary play.
Le Bon Enfants believes that developing healthy eating habits is a fundamental skill that all young children need to have. We strive to provide a variety of nutritious meals and healthy snacks that will nourish your children throughout the day. In addition to the sample meals shown below, your child will also receive an afternoon snack each day.
Feeding our children quality, nutritious food is a priority to LBE, and what better way to get that than from our own garden! Each Spring, our older children learn about seeds and plants in their classrooms. Once the garden is ready, the kids plant seeds for cucumber, carrots, peppers, zucchini and fresh herbs.
Le Bon Enfants is committed to making high quality day care affordable for all families. We believe that by doing this, we are giving the parents a chance to help their family get a step ahead while knowing that their children are in the best care possible. Over the years, LBE has been fortunate enough to help families in several ways.

We love Le Bon Enfants. The quality you experience with the lessons, food, and love is unmatched. My child has been going to Le Bon since he was 4 months old and everyone in the building is always excited to see him and love on him. His development over the past 3 years has been incredible- potty training was a breeze, his language development and ability to create relationships with his peers has all been aided by his teachers at Le Bon. The owners are so detail oriented and loving- from the cleaning procedures and COVID protocols in place to keep everyone safe over the past year and the hugs

My son has attended LBE since he was 3 months old, we are now approaching Kindergarten. When LBE said they had a private Kindergarten, it was a no-brainer to stay.
LBE has become an extension to our family. Sheila (and the support of the many talented, kind and patient) crew have created a wonderful environment, where the children learn valuable lessons and age appropriate skills. I look forward to the newsletters and menu, artwork that comes home daily and the conversations my son has about his day.
Not only is LBE affordable, the location is super convenient, the space is impeccably clean

Compassionate, nurturing, loving. There are too many words to describe the atmosphere of LBE. My sons have been going here since they were newborns and I absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a trustworthy, professional, and caring family to watch their little ones. I had some reservations as we meandered through the pandemic, but they were proactive, transparent, and developed protocols to create a safe environment for my babies. My sons are not even in kindergarten yet and they count, tell time, read, write, and full on conversations with me like little men. I absolutely love

My son has gone to LBE since he was a year old and is now in the kindergarten program. Not only has he progressed in his education, but has been so well cared for. The staff, teachers, and owner, Sheila, have treated us like family. I look forward to my daughter following in his footsteps as she is enrolled this coming August 2021. To be able to get my kids in here. It’s extremely clean and sanitation is very important here which means so much to everyone right now. My son has been going to this daycare since June of 2020 and he LOVES it. I honestly can not think of a single complaint the rooms are always clean they have been so good considering all the craziness of COVID. My son is always so excited and happy to be there. The owner to the workers are all downright awesome. I have another baby on the way and feel so comfortable knowing I have a place I can trust. I will be keeping my kids here for as long as I can!!

I previously had a review while my daughter attended Le Bon Enfants but I feel I need to update that review. My daughter attended for 3 years before starting kindergarten at a public school. Le Bon Enfants took care of my daughter like she was the daughter of each teacher there, she was loved and taken care of daily. They helped potty train her, they gave her the tools for reading, writing and math. She started there as a very shy 1.5 year old and left a smarter, kinder more confident child at the age of 5. She is now halfway her first year of kindergarten and exceeds all expectations. She is ahead

A previous reviewer mentions bad customer service by someone named Sheila, well Sheila is the owner of the business and she's just as rude to employees as she is to her clients. Someone I'm close to worked for LBE for a very short time and it honestly was a blessing Sheila asked her to no longer work with them. LBE may pay more than other competitors, but the verbal abuse left some employees in tears, my friend included. Lower tuition isn't worth teachers feeling so undervalued in my opinion and based on this my trust in the company is at a minimum if even existent at all.

We are extremely happy to have our son enrolled at Le Bon Enfants. We have peace of mind getting ready for school in the morning without having to pack snack, lunch, or even a sheet or blanket, because everything is provided. The staff is welcoming and most of the teachers have been there for several years. Their dedication means my son has security in knowing that he will see the same faces and follow the same routines every day. His teachers provide a structured, yet loving, environment, and beyond academics, my son learns social skills and independence and has really blossomed.

Le bon Enfants is truly in a class of its own! My oldest ughter is 3 and has been going there since birth. It is modern, clean warm and inviting. All of the teachers have been fantastic. Not only is it cheaper than most other day care centers around it, but provides an even greater value by providing all of the food, snacks and bedding for the children. The classrooms are large and have lots of age appropriate toys and lots of run to move around. The playground area is huge and perfect for happy active children. They treat and love my children like family and I never have to worry that my children

We absolutely love Le Bon Enfants and I would not have my child anywhere else. Finding this day care center was a real blessing and a relief. The owner/director truly cares about children. She hires a staff of only the most qualified local caring personnel out there. I have peace of mind when I drop my child off there, and you can't put a price on that. This day care center is simply the best day care center in Virginia Beach, period. We love Le Bon Enfants!

I began working with Sheila in September 2011 as her daycare assistant. Having a behind the scenes view, I was immediately impressed with her expertise in caring for the children, how clean and organized her home daycare was, and the extraordinary care and routine she provided daily for the children. You can tell staff is there for the right reasons, with the right experience and patience needed. Should be on every list of parents looking for a daycare in the area.

As a working mom of three boys, I've had a lot of experience with daycare facilities. None have even come close to the outstanding care my youngest receives at LBE. The entire staff is fantastic. From Mrs. Dianna who greets us at the front desk to Mrs. Meaghan and Mrs. Andrea who teach my son about groundhogs and igloos, their enthusiasm truly shows. I know my son is well taken care of and learns a ton while he's there. He loves his school and I couldn't be happier.
