My prospective roommate and I went to tour the apartment, and while the apartment itself was small, it was reasonable. But the leasing agent spent much of the tour complaining about the behavior of the people to whom she had previously shown the apartment, which raised some red flags.
Later, in the office, she confronted those people when they came in to drop off their rental paperwork, talking down to them and slowly, as if they were children. She let them know that there was someone ahead of them in the paperwork processing queue. After they left -- and she checked to make sure they were gone

What horrible customer service! I'm shopping around for apartments via telephone, I tried calling this place a few times with no one picking up the phone. After the 3rd try on the same day I left a message on the machine. They tried calling me back 2 hours later with no one responding to me. I tried calling back when I finally had someone respond. They picked up, first making fun of how many times I called that day, being very rude to me and no sort of greeting or wondering why I called. I had to wrestle information out of her. If this is the way they treat new customers I shudder to think of how
