Atlanta PT
Every patient is seen directly by their dedicated Physical Therapist, ensuring continuity of and excellence in care. You will see your Physical Therapist for the entire session, which lasts a full, industry-leading, 50-60 minutes. We not only focus on prevention and treatment of injuries, but also education on creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I have had a significant number of soft tissue issues over the years. I have been to the standard physical therapy places where the the PT is seeing 3 people at the same time. The standard PT is fine if you are recovering from injury/surgery and it is a matter of strengthening to recover. I have had 13 orthopedic surgeries over my life so I am familiar with the standard protocol of PT.
Services
There are many options for patients when it comes to physical therapy; however, the Atlanta PT model is different from other high-volume physical therapy practices. It is precisely these differences that have created our reputation as a center for excellence within the Atlanta community.

Every patient is seen directly by their physical therapist for their entire session, which lasts 50 - 60 minutes, consisting of hands-on techniques that must have the skilled intervention of a physical therapist to be successful.Additionally, each therapist has a private treatment room, so each patient can feel comfortable in a private environment.
No, in the state of Georgia you can see your physical therapist for 21 days or eight visits, whichever comes first, prior to receiving a referral from your medical doctor. The exceptions are patients who currently have Medicare, who are required to obtain a physical therapy referral prior to the initiation of physical therapy.
Mari Smith holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Utica College, a Master's in Physical Therapy from The Medical College of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Georgia. Tony received a Bachelor of Science in cellular and molecular biology from the University of West Florida and graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Georgia State University in 2011.
Atlanta PT provides services that address issues specific to pelvic health in men, women and children. In the one on one environment, patients receive uninterrupted private treatment and focused attention at each visit. Our pelvic health team has advanced training in evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction as well as chronic pelvic pain.
Pain which lasts longer than 3 months, without any reasonable explanation, is considered chronic. Chronic pain is multifaceted and therefore we approach it from both an orthopedic and neurological perspective. Here at Atlanta PT every patient receives individualized care in a private 50-60-minute session with their physical therapist.

I like the one-on-one focus with the physical therapist. They aren’t distracted by multiple patients at one time.

Atlanta PT is excellent! They give personal and caring service. Laura Giles is wonderful. She's upbeat, encouraging and knowledgeable. I love that Atlanta PT has individual rooms for each consultation and one-on-one work. They also have a large room with gym equipment to use when necessary. Especially during the pandemic, I appreciate not being in a large room with multiple patients.

This was my second time using the services provided by Atlanta PT. Last year for my knee replacement; this year for my hip replacement. Again, my experience was positive. The woman at the front desk is friendly, my therapist - Kent - was timely, professional and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and inviting.

Tony is a very knowledgeable professional who has worked wonders with my injuries over the years. He has a knack for figuring out exactly what’s wrong and problem solving to find the best solution for each issue. Any time I have an injury that needs physical therapy I request a script be sent to Atlanta PT because I know he can get results and get me moving again. It’s well worth the drive from Cartersville.

Katie Moise has been my therapist for several months and I can honestly say I've never had a better therapist. She is relatable and empathetic, yet thoroughly professional and knowledgeable. I have been seeing her for pelvic floor therapy and the work has made a huge difference in my quality of life. I don't think there's any place in the Atlanta area better for this type of therapy. I'd give Atlanta PT ten stars if I could.

I've been going to Atlanta PT for over a year now. I've seen three of the specialists for different reasons. And let me tell you, they are absolutely amazing!!! They have been able to correct some issues I've been having for years. I've seen so many medical and specialist doctors who have not been able to pinpoint the specific problem and come up with the right program for me. But they've accomplished that. Additionally, they thrive on becoming more informed, so are highly educated. I love a professional who looks beyond the black and white page because each person is an

I have been going to Atlanta PT for 1.5 years now (off and on), for PT for my back and Pelvic Floor therapy. For Pelvic Floor, I saw Kate Schenk. Kate is amazing. Not only is she an excellent physical therapist, but she also does a wonderful job of making her patients feel comfortable and at ease. I see Tony Fox for my back and he is great. He is very thoughtful in his approach to my treatment and his bedside manner is beyond compare. The support staff at Atlanta PT is exceptional. They are very responsive, kind, and do their best to accommodate your schedule. I also attend Shelley Brown's

I went to One on One (aka Atlanta PT) for several months to help alleviate pain/injury from my scoliosis, which I've had since I was in middle school, and for injury remediation/prevention for running. I am an avid runner and had tried several different PTs and chiropractors looking for someone who could help reduce my back pain and recurring nagging little injuries that were hampering my running. I worked with Tony and he was fantastic! First off, each appointment is literally one-on-one with the PT. This is far different from other PTs I've been to, where you're one of 3+ people

I started at One on One Physical Therapy for my lower back pain about a year ago.
I was really having problems with my lower back in my everyday life, and desperately needed some relief..
I was recommended to One on One by two doctors that had been very pleased with them working with some of their other patients..
I cannot tell you what a difference Alexis has made in treating my back issues !!!
She is amazing, and I am truly grateful for all Alexis has done to help me....
I can honestly say that I highly recommend One on One Physical Therapy to everyone needing any kind of physical therapy, and

I was suffering from vertigo for the first time ever and from all the anxiety that goes along with it. After getting the diagnosis at an urgent care center I went to an ENT clinic which basically merely confirmed the diagnosis, prescribed some steroids and told me to see a physical therapist.
Since I can't drive due to the vertigo, I do some quick research to find someplace as close as possible (realizing it's not necessarily the best strategy in choosing a healthcare provider) I called One on One and was able to get an appointment just a couple of hours later.
I explained everything

Amazing staff and atmosphere. Tony Fox was my physical therapist. He did an amazing job with my bruised rotator cuff recovery. This problem had been bothering me for years and a few months with Tony solved the problem. The staff really cares about your recovery progress and are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Hopefully I don't need to, but if I ever have any issues that require physical therapy, this is where I'll be.
