We transferred mom here from another place where she was being neglected. Her health was in bad shape as a result.
The care mom is getting at West Anaheim Extended Care is outstanding all the people here are extremely helpful and nice which is great because mom has been a bit difficult. I recommend this place to anybody looking to get short term or long term care for family member.

I would give them a 0 but I am unable to. If you want to send your parent or loved one to this place - trust me go somewhere else. This place has a bare minimum PT program - where when I would go visit my mother through the window - my mother would tell me wow that's the most PT I've done while here. The head person in charge Mary - is very incompetent as well. She had us run around to get a bunch of tests - when it boiled down to over medicating my mother. If you want a lot of drugs that you don't need - then come here. Check their ratings at other sites - hardly a 4 star

My mother-in-law has been in the facility twice within the past year. It has been a very positive experience and she definitely improves while in their care. One thing I really appreciate is that they keep family involved and informed. When I visit, staff frequently drops in to do follow ups with patients and they usually have pen and paper to record any comments. They are very proactive and on top of any concerns that either the family or patient might have. I'm sorry but this place was the worst for us . They literally don't care about any of their patients. So many people in there are constantly asking for help but the nurses just brush them off. They literally ignore them. There have been patients that have been yelling for help for hours. Some patients even scream they have a medical issue but the nurses yell back that them that they are fine. I have seen poor sick patients that have vomited all over themselves and the nurses just leave them in their own vomit. It's absolutely sick and I can't believe they don't do anything

I used to work at West Anaheim Extended Care for 8 years. Unfortunately, i needed to relocate that's why i left this place. This is the best nursing home i have ever worked with. This place is always clean, nice, beautiful and very safe to work with. I have found the best management, workmates and most off all, the best DON as ever been, Leonida, (Nida) Danielsen. Have always look at the patients safety and the priority of care. Employees are treated to the best and fair treatment, as an employee needed.
