I am Eric W. Augustin, a native Floridian with over 29 years of residential construction experience. Since 2002, I have been the founder and owner of "E & L Home Repairs and Remodeling". We were listed as the #1 rated Home Repair and Remodeling service in Central Florida for 2006, 2007, and 2008 by Angie's List (the nations leading referral company for Industry / Service Professionals).
I am constantly taking Continuing Education Courses as offered by InterNACHI to stay on the cutting edge of all new developments in the field of Home Inspections. We carry full coverage General Liability and Professional Liability Insurance, commonly known as "Professional Errors and Omissions Liability Insurance".

Although it is difficult to establish a set fee structure that works for every home, every time, here is the framework from which our prices are formulated. The price for a typical, standard, 3/2 or 4/2 block or wood frame home, Home Inspection are as follows. WDO (Termite) Inspections are priced at $100.00 if performed during a standard Home Inspection, or $150.00 if this is the only Inspection you need.
Even though termites are only about the size of a grain of rice, they can cause major damage to wooden structures over time if allowed to colonize and multiply. Having a structure inspected for them is a major factor in its proper maintenance. Since termites like to eat wood from the inside out, often they may go unnoticed.

Eric was an excellent person who did a home inspection on a house that we are purchasing in N. Florida. He spent time explaining things that needed attention and also advised us on companies that we can contact to address those situations. Eric is our “go-to guy” for any questions we may have on the house. In addition, he educated us on how to properly care for the house since we live in a different state with a different environment. I called A1 Inspections to get a quote for an inspection on a very specific thing in my home. He was very helpful just over the phone. He asked questions about why I thought I might need his services and once he had listened to the reasons, he told me honestly that I won't need to inspect for that specific thing. He said he is not trying to turn away my business or my money, but to pay him for this specific thing would be just throwing my money away for a frivilous and expensive test to prove what he already knew. Eric is excellent. I had a hard time finding someone because I have an older home. Had other companies tell me for $1700 I can give you what you need. Found A1 and couldn't be happier. He is very prompt. When he tells you your report will be ready a few minutes after 3, he delivers. Very professional and most of all honest. Which to me is extremely important now a days. Wonderful company. They inspected our home in 2015. It took him about 3 hours. Plus he went in detail after the inspection which was about 45-60 minutes walk around inside and out. The report he sent us was very detailed and listed items that needed to by fixed or serviced. Also included recommended annual servicing on items on the property. He is a great inspector and I would highly recommend them to first time home buyers or buyers of any stage.
