I got the mailer and wasn't sure if it was a phishing scam, so I researched it and decided to at least talk to them. I already refinanced last year with my existing loan company and got the best rate they had at the time. I didn't really expect anything better than what I had but I was surprised after talking to and decided to explore it further. This was my fourth loan process that I have gone through and I can't say enough how pleasant and easy it was. My loan officer was Mike Jarvis and he checked every box for me with satisfaction. Anytime I wanted an update he replied within minutes, straightforward, and with no delays or excuses. I talked to one person and they requested a copy of my current mortgage statement and they said they would get back to me next day.
A week passed and no response. I followed up again in 2 weeks and they said they call back shortly and they never did.
Look elsewhere as even based on Google reviews there may be some shady things going on:

I received their letter and responded by calling them. their rude and unprofessional assistant named pheobe lang asked me to email them the copy of my last mortgage statement which currently with a major bank. I was referred to Ladera Ranch by a Co-Worker who had nothing but great things to say about them and Mike Jarvis in particular. Mike was honest, straight forward and efficient. Yes, the soliciting letter was misleading. But the result was wonderful. I hired LRH to refinance my mortgage. Brian is my broker. Although I have excellent credit scores, my employment history was not flawless.
Interest rate was locked on 1/11, closing docs were signed and notarized on 1/25. Money was disbursed on 1/29. My mortgage rate was lowered from 4.1+% to 2.2+%. It's almost a half off. I don't care how it started. It ended well. And it was stress free as Brian promised.

I reached out to Ladera Ranch Home Loans in late July 2020 after receiving a mailer to refinance. I was very excited and initially provided all my paperwork to Kathy to be pre-approved. Once she had built my file she assigned me to Mike Jarvis who would contact me within 24-48 hours. A few days went by and no call. I got one of these scam letters as well! Very deceptive, no company name on the letterhead - but other bank's name is there stating your mortgage lender (they got it wrong in my case). Only the small print in the back states the company name. The rate they quote looks extremely attractive, too attractive to be legit!
