Founded by Dr. Stephen Chen, we have over 45 years of clinical experience. We treat a variety of conditions using Traditional approaches and specialize in pain management.
After studying at San Francisco State University, Winson Chen L.Ac earned his Doctoral Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. Undergoing a rigorous program of over 3000 hours including over 500 clinic hours. It is there that he pursued his passion in healing, integrating both Eastern and Western philosophies.

Dr Chen healed my lower back pain last October when Kaiser recommended surgery!! He was honest about the treatment would take twice a week for a month then taper off. HE WAS RIGHT!!! I came in not being able to sit for more than 10-15 minutes. Couldn’t drive. Only comfort was flat on my back on the floor. By thanksgiving I was driving, sitting at the dinner table and out if pain! Bless you Dr Winson.
I most recently came back to him for trigger thumb. Well again he was honest and said this treatment could work 50-60% of the time. I agreed and in less than 5 visits I am healed!!! Love you and

My aunt Ana referred me to Dr. Chen. I am so happy she did! She is a long time patient of that office and now I am thankful to say I will be as well! I initially went as I have a hip labrum tear on my right hip. I was experiencing great pain and after having an X-ray and MRI, I was directed to have surgery done from my orthopedic doctor. Instead, I sought acupuncture. I cannot thank Dr. Chen enough for all that he has done! My hip pain is gone and my hip flexibility in that hip is stronger than ever. I was seen by Dr. Chen for a little over a month or two, and tapered off the visits as I got better

From someone who has tried all the above and more, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Winson. After two surgeries on my lower back, I was considering a third when my back was locked up and I was barely able to move. After my first treatment, I was able to move with significantly less pain. I have continued my "tune ups" for over five years because they work! I firmly believe that if I would have known about Winson and his father before

I have been seeing Dr. Chen for a neck issue that was told I would need surgery. Had such debilitating pain that I spent most free time on the couch. Thanks to Dr. Chen no surgery and I'm active again. 4th generation acupuncturist - doesn't get any better than that. Dr. Chen is fabulous and well worth the time and money. I have seen several different acupuncturists in my time on this planet and I can tell you he is tops. If I were you and reading these fabulous reviews I'd make myself an appointment before he is completely booked.

Dr Chen literally works miracles in my opinion, not to mention he was caring and his staff wonderful. You see I was on vacation and had injured my lower back and hip could hardly stand let alone walk and keep up with my kids who wanted to see everything. I remembered I had see Dr Chen’s dad years ago and he did wonders so I called and requested a visit ASAP since I was in town. Dr Winson Chen did a short treatment on me 2 days in a row and now I feel better than I did before the injury. Thank you Dr for saving my vacation.
