Hi, I'm Daniel Melton and thanks for visiting my acupuncture website! I am a California board certified acupuncturist and herbalist, and I've worked and trained in the health field for over 7 years. My path to becoming an acupuncturist began here in Morgan Hill as a senior at Live Oak High School. While studying anatomy/physiology and athletic training I became fascinated in how the human body functioned and healed.
Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method to help millions of people become well and stay well. Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
According to Chinese medical theory, the symptoms and signs that indicate a Western diagnosis of allergies relate to imbalances in the meridian and Organ Systems of the body. These imbalances may stem from a variety of causes, including stress, poor diet, constitutional weakness, pollutants and environmental toxins.
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years. Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world. Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems. The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan. Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.

I have been to several acupuncturists over the years and Daniel is one of the best! I agree with all the comments in other reviews- he is very attentive and kind, (and has a great sense of humor) the needles don’t hurt, the environment very zen and relaxing. He is also very knowledgeable with herbs and can mix a customized herbal remedy to support the treatment at home that you mix with warm water. I highly recommend Melton Acupuncture!

Melton Acupuncture was my first experience with acupuncture. I had the worst ever episode of lower back and sciatica and was up for trying anything! Melton was able to get me in the same day I called which was so great! I felt very at ease and understood what the treatment would be like. I found it actually very relaxing. I felt some relief within hours of the first treatment. I was about 95% pain free after about 2-3 treatments but went back for a few more because I felt it was beneficial and relaxing. I will definitely use again if/when I have any pain. I highly recommend Melton Acupuncture!

I started going to Daniel for my severe back pain and fibromyalgia. It was such an amazing help. The pain became bearable. I ended up having to have back surgery but with Daniels healing technique and kind support he helped me ease through this hard time. I still see Daniel for pain, tiredness,headaches and to help get my nerves back to normal function after surgery. I trust him and feel at ease always. He has a very comforting way about him. I have been coming to see Daniel for over two months now. A friend recommended him because I was experiencing severe PMS. I was reluctant at first as I had never tried acupuncture. In my first session with Daniel, he conducted a thorough case history before planning a course of action. His professional conduct and the atmosphere in the office immediately put me at ease. Daniel is an incredibly professional and talented acupuncturist who I highly recommend. He appears very knowledgeable about acupuncture in general and its uses for various conditions and takes the time to get to know what a patient needs from the visit as well as check in occasionally about how well the treatment is progressing. Although the building his office is in appears almost vacant it isn't! The inner courtyard, office and individual treatment rooms are beautiful, calming, relaxing and meticulously maintained. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for over 6 months and my doctor had mentioned trying acupuncture. I was skeptical, but thought I had nothing to lose. Only 1 month of acupuncture and I'm pregnant! Gotta say I am a believer now. Daniel is great, he makes you feel comfortable and the office is very nice. I highly recommend acupuncture now to friends who are also trying to get pregnant, and I continue to go to help with pregnancy symptoms.
