Services
Community Child Care Center's mission is to contribute to the broader community, individual children, and families by encouraging the development of the whole child through affordable, high-quality early childhood education. The center provides a nurturing, physically safe, emotionally secure and inclusive setting for children, families and staff in a cooperative environment.
The child "educaring" philosophy at CCCC supports a "whole-child" concept of development by meeting his/her emotional, social, intellectual, physical and emerging cultural needs. Our child development program is based on the assumption that a child's growth is a sequential process and that children pass through predictable stages of development in all areas and within age ranges.
We are fortunate to serve the vibrant Commonwealth Terrace Cooperative on the St. Paul campus. Many of our families reside here in CTC, and the sense of community support is strong within and between the two cooperatives. The two cooperatives co-sponsor events throughout the year. The University of Minnesota is looking ahead to the future of the St. Paul campus with the St. Paul Strategic Facilities Plan.
I started back in July of 2004 as a Toddler and Younger Preschool Teacher. In 2006, I became the director. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies/Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota and in May of 2012 I received a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, Saint Paul.
From I-94, take the Hwy 280 exit. Take the Energy Park Drive exit and turn right onto Energy Park Drive. Then turn left at Raymond Avenue, which becomes Cleveland Avenue after it crosses Como Ave. Go straight through the light toward the U of M St Paul campus. Take a right onto Commonwealth Avenue and then turn right onto Fifield Street.

This place has been a miracle. We could not have asked for a better daycare-preschool set-up. I feel incredibly lucky that my son was part of CCCC family. I hope we can find something similar for our second one. I so wish we were closer to CCCC. The teachers are the foundation of this center. They have set up a benchmark that is not easy to meet.
