When discharged from the hospital I needed IV antibiotics for a few more weeks I did not want to come to this facility, even though it's right around the corner from my house. My wife went and toured the building and decided that we would give it a try. Both of us are very glad. This is the second time I've been at this facility, first time since it's been Avista and I will say the staff has been a lot friendlier this time around.
Our outstanding subacute program revitalizes individuals recovering from illness or surgery as they transition from the hospital back home. Whether you're recovering from joint replacement, stroke, a cardiac event or a fracture - Avista offers an optimistic setting where you can reclaim your independence.
Avista's long term nursing home care combines expert medical attention with warmth and compassion. Our comprehensive approach focuses on improving and sustaining the best possible quality of life for each resident. Services include medication administration, pain management, complex wound care and ongoing therapy, as well as hospice and respite care.

Our newly opened Dialysis Unit offers patients with kidney disease the convenience of hemodialysis on-site, and we are one of the few facilities in the state with the capability to provide dialysis to trach patients!

My grandma had back surgery and needed to go to rehab. Her first stay was yesterday and was horrible. She got there at 430pm and needed her pain medicine and kept asking for it and didn’t get it until 130am the next day. She was in pain for several hours not to mention that she is diabetic and they never checked her sugar AT all. My mom tried calling to make an appointment and their phones go straight to voicemail my mom had to go there physically to try and get in to see my grandma and ask questions on her care. The telephone systems aren’t set up with extensions for the nurses station, supervisor

My mother went there for rehab on a Wednesday and by Sunday she was in tears. They made her wait 2 hrs to take her to the bathroom and then complaind about having to help her ambulate. She felt like she was falling out of her chair and asked if they would sit her back, they told her she was fine with a snarky attitude. When she asked for a couple tylenol for pain they never brought it to her.
Are they there to help or just draw a paycheck? Also one of the nurses was having a screaming match and swearing in the parking lot with her boyfriend when I pulled in to take my mother out of this facility

The therapy department was Amazing! I want you all to know that each and everyone of you excel in the areas of OT & PT. I never in my life would have thought that I would feel so special, comfortable and at ease, being "on the other side of the fence" so to speak. I am very pleased with the progress I made and the care that you provided me. You were all an awesome team helping and guiding me to reach my recovery goal. You will never be forgotten and keep up the great job!!! Love you all!
To all the nursing staff, you are all stars!! You demonstrated your skills in a knowledgeable fashion as you

A good friend of my mom's was there she said she couldn't wait to leave.
1) The food was nasty.
2) Some of the items that were supposed to have been choices on the menu they said they didn't have.
3) She was initially told she would be in a private room but she wasn't.
4) They didn't know how to clean her properly.
5) They didn't have enough staff to attend to them when needed.

I was in life threatening car accident. I had numerous fractures, extensive nerve damage and subsequent brain damage. I went to avista after 2 months in a coma. While in the coma I had multiple strokes which resulted in not being able to use my whole right side. I needed extensive help. I couldn't get out of the bed without a lift, and even feed myself. This not only affected me physically but mentally as well. I am only 40 yers old. The nursing staff were caring, responsive and very professional. Even one nurse who was not responsible for me checked in on me and asked if I needed anything on a
